He was the only one not to improve from q2, and with his q2 time he would have been 4-5th on the grid. Racepace and tirewear might work for Lotuses anyway, so theres a hope. http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2013/896/7209/

You really can't look at it this way. Such short-term thinking is destroying sports all over the world, coaches get fired after one season of bad results even though they haven't had time to really change anything. McLaren have been a serious title contender for the last few years, something that no other team except Red Bell have come even close to doing. Yes, Martin is ultimately responsible for not reaching those last few percent but you have to ask yourself; would changing the team director really change anything? This year has nothing to do with Martin, his engineers has screwed up. You have to remember that in February everyone thought the McLaren was going to be the fastest car on track, not much Martin can do at this stage when it turns out to be false.

Well done Sergio, Lewis and Paul, great drives from all three guys. Shame Alonso had the DRS issue or we may have had a fight for the lead too. McLaren showing other teams how to deal with inner-team battles, just let them sort it out themselves!

Getting more points justifies racing like that, especially when your team is idiotic. If one driver is clearly faster than the other, in the same team, let him past and maximise your points. Mclaren screwed up that race. Perez could probably have been ahead of Hamilton as well if they had been sensible, and Button might have been one place higher up if he hadn't lose time and tyres fighting Perez. And what about Button being risky by pushing Perez off the track?

If their team is too stupid, thats their fault, but risking lives due to risky driving is not justified. Also, its not like that was the first and only situation where Perez did drive like that. But yes, I said above that I think Button should have let him pass.
