I'm also gonna work way harder next year to keep my schedule organized and have time for lifting at least 3x a week (hopefully gonna start doing some cardio once it gets warmer out) and stretching every single day.

FS 120kgx2x5 Felt pretty awesome today, guess cause I slept a lot. Still, the clean looks horrible and my hips are going foward on the jerk. First time I clean and jerk together :p. Decaf and dimsum comments plz.

For the split, back leg is too straight. You need to distribute your weight evenly between both legs. Pay attention to the back angle in the clean and jerk footwork. ![]()

He's a competitive powerlifter, and strong as faurk so may be worth listening to. Edt: In a later video he corrects what he says about using flat sole shoes in the hybrid squat, and suggests olympic shoes instead. On the topic highbar squats, I've been trying to work them in to my light squat day to get used to it, but having the bar on my traps hurts like hell. Is this something you just have to work through? I've had a similar experience recently. I was watching his videos and decided to try out high bar squats, too. (Currently at 235 low bar). My traps hurt too but strangely, only for the first rep. Then it's like my body has... tightened up or whatever and it no longer hurts for the next reps. I feel a lot more stable doing low bar, but I was just doing 165 pounds for my first attempt at it. I used to do high bar I think a few years ago, but my form back then would have been terrible... I might do low bar for a bit longer while working on high bar, and then switch to high bar completely in a month or two. Tomorrow will be my final workout for the year. Saturday I'm flying back to Canada for Christmas/New Years. It'll be my wife's first time in my hometown to meet all my family/friends, other than my immediate family who flew out for our wedding this past year. ![]()

Decaf and dimsum comments plz. hahaha you're SO posterior dominant and tight in the back it's hilarious. Clean actually looking a lot better. Ideally you'd have your hips lower and back flatter so you can push with your legs more but your back is so god damn strong you can probably actually lift more with higher hips, but then you're going to have to work extra to sweep the bar in with your lats and then come through with the knees and explode. Jerk is all speed and technique, you'll be better off doing lots of light work for it to get the feel for it.

Gonna gain a fuck load of weight from all the baked goods I'm gonna eat though... can't make that shit out here in Korea. Grrrr. Got too drunk last night. Maybe I can go to the gym after work tonight. I really want that last workout of the year.

Gymnasts don't count because they are midgets. I have a pull-up bar, was thinking of doing pullups, handstand pushups and a bunch of stuff with bands but have no idea which brand to pick. If it's available on amazon.fr then bonus points. I like the TRX or LifeLine Jungle Gym suspension systems for home or travel workouts when you cannot get access to gym. Costs about ~$100 though.

I've honestly never seen anyone else do weighted chins though, but plenty doing curls ofc. I'm just wondering if there's that much of a mechanical difference. I guess you could be limited by your weakest muscle group which may not be your biceps?

And no one gets big arms doing only chins still, including in sets of 8 or more.
