1) Learn to Squat again 2) Pull elbows up instead of back 3) Not jump backwards Also, a question. Today I learn to catch at the bottom and it feels I'm not using all my strength to pull the bar up. Like I'm cutting my pull to get down. Is that ok ? When I pull as hard as I can I can't get down (and the bar goes up too high). Here, my beastly 75kg clean (lol) Please comment and critique.

In comparing this to one of decaf's videos, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Tok2oA_o6k) it seems to me that a lot of these problems will fix themselves as you move up in weight. By the time you get halfway done your pull, just because of how strong you already are, the weight is at your chest anyway. That's why there's no need to really get low, fast. There's also a bit of a pause during your jump - it takes you an extra half a second to go from "pulling the weight" to "pulling yourself under" which just changes the position of everything involved here. That's a problem with basically everyone who's ever been a beginning weightlifter though AFAIK. Drill the shit out of that transition. Finally your pull seems like it's all one speed, rather than accelerating as the movement goes on... but again, probably also a factor of the weight being low for you, and it'll fix itself in time? Obviously take everything mentioned with a grain of salt since I've only ever spent ~2 months doing oly lifting, and even that was a while ago.

1. Good beginner instructional videos on lifting. Not only showing the movements but something that gives background on training, adaptation, etc? 2. As above, but for women and/or by women?
