Good luck trying to stay in the top half of the table. You choose to 'support' a club based on who you sign and sell? That's not support really is it.

![]() PS every top team needs Fellaini. He would be great in Chelsea, Man City, Man U, Arsenal. What a player. In fact his only weakness is strength in the box and that's still lacking.

What we need is a proper defensive midfielder to clean up behind Arteta and Cazorla (and Wilshere whenever he gets his injuries in check). As for the game that's on now, I liked what I saw after missing the first quarter. Everton looking really good, with Fellaini as some super control tower completely dominating the air. Brilliant saves from De Gea to keep the game level.

Kagawa seems decent to me, making mostly the right plays on the ball especially. The Cleverly-Scholes center is what looks sort of weak to me, they aren't exerting any control really.

Kagawa could have had a goal or two if Welbeck/Rooney had managed to play him in instead of shooting. edit for post above: Yeah, Vorm's my substitute. He should be in pretty much every team, incredibly cheap.

You weren't there when we were winning, when we had real ambitions, when we actually competed. I know that every club goes through fluctuations, but this club is consciously deciding to turn into a middle tier club. If you're content with that, good for you. I hope another 7 years of drought serves you well. I for one, will save myself the pain and heartache. You are a glory hunter, I hope you know that. However shit your club is doing you don't ditch it just because management is being stupid, christ. You can cuss off the management as much as you want but you don't abandon your club.

I have to agree with this sentiment at this point, Wengers pretty much decided with his statement on Song that hes more a ceo than a manager now. Although not supporting a club over that is a bit harsh. Doesnt matter how good a defensive midfielder Song is, the fact he was your second best player last season. When your top 2 performers leave in consecutive summers then you have a problem Saying stuff like "song wasnt a great def mid" and all that might hold some truth to it but the fact of the matter is your kidding yourselves if it was good business. Thats just how it is sorry.

I can understand how being in the top 10 teams in the country must be oh so hard for you, but no fan I know would stop supporting their club when it gets a bit rough. 11/12 years ago my club were on the verge of bring promoted to the premiership, when the management in all their wisdom decided to sell our main striker to a rival that ended up being promoted instead of us. After that, we went on a terrible run and got demoted to the bottom divison, narrowly avoiding administration and barely having enough players to form a squad. Since then we've risen again, and im loving every moment of it. Not once would I think of leaving the club, because through thick and thin; they are my club.

I for one was there and greatly enjoyed the Invincibles and out second place in the Champion's League. I know how great we used to be, and so it obviously sucks for us to sell four of our best players in two years straight. However I still think there's ambition there, and there should be. Cazorla and Giroud are great additions (haven't decided yet on Podolski), and the only thing we're missing right now is a really solid CDM (Diaby is good, but we can do better imo). We still made CL last season even after being counted out at almost every turn. Even if we will have another 7 trophy-less years, I wouldn't have it with another club. Edit: And for the record, I agree that the Song sale was terrible business.
