Guess we will have to wait even longer. Ronaldo and Falcao are going to make Janurary transfer window VERY interesting
With Falcao I agree, he is the hottest striker who has to go to a top notch club imo, whether it's in January or in the summer we shall see.
But with Ronaldo... we really have to see what's the deal with him and Real, it's all speculation right now.

Hmm is it though? His Agent came out today and said dhe knows the problem and admitted to the President talks too. Smells like he wants a big contract and to be told "we love u" or he is going to go elsewhere xD

Didn't hear that yet, what's new news to me ^^

So,Ronaldo saga rolls on.
Ronaldo reasons remain unclear
Cristiano Ronaldo's agent claims to be fully aware of the reasons for the Portuguese superstar's sadness at Real Madrid but is refusing to give anything away.
The behaviour has led to mass speculation about a bust-up within the Real squad or an apparent desire from the 27-year-old for a new contract.
"I am aware of the reasons behind Ronaldo's words and it is up to him to disclose them or not," Mendes wrote in a statement on the website of his company, Gestifute.
He added: "I am not surprise by them and they cause me no discomfort. Those who know my relationship with Ronaldo know he will always count on my total solidarity."

Sounds like he's just throwing a tantrum to get an even bigger contract. That's perfectly in keeping with his character. RM will probably cave and give him a contract that rivals Eto'o's.

Players like him deserve way more respect than those money hungry stars
You mean the illoyal *** he was when he forced his transfer to Real from HSV with simulated injuries to not play in european championships so he didn't get banned for european games, or when he posed with a Valencia jersey while on contract? Yeah, those kind of players need way more respect, I must agree. I can't believe HSV are dumb enough to sign him after the fuss he made last time, and his so seriously cut wage must still be enormous. We'll if it turns out the right move, but I doubt it.

Apparently the problem is that for the first 6 years of the contracts in Spain above 600k for foreign football players the income tax is only 24% while after the 6 years it increases to 52%. That would mean after 2016 his wage has to be drastically increased for him to still receive the same net wage. But who knows its not like anyone can pay his transfer.

Thanks. I'm sure RM will fork out the money to match/raise his current salaries after tax. After all, he is their best, and most marketable player.

Anyway i'll never understand the hype around the Brazilians and the Porto / Benfica players.
If you look at active players that have played for Porto or Benfica and put them all back in the respective team, you end up with teams that would be among the favourites to win the Champions League. And they have have a lot more talent, so we can expect big transfers to continue: James Rodriguez, Moutinho, Salvio, Rodrigo, Gaitan...

But their offense is already pretty stacked I can't imagine them taking Ronaldo too. Though you never know when you pay €60 million for Torres -.-

24% is used for contracts signed before 2010, since then what was called Beckham's law (foreigners only had to pay 24% tax compared to ~40% for local players) was changed and now they pay 52%. Ronaldo's contract was signed before that, so if they revised it know they would have to pay the new tax.

Funnily enough this is called Beckham law. 45 percent tax just like the locals after 6 years on.
edit: Nevermind beaten to it.

WHO the hell cares about what the tax rate is???
NO ONE in spain is paying taxes anyway the tax debt in primera divisiion is € 752 million and that is only what the they owe the government. (not counting what they are owing the banks).
but who cares as long as germany is paying for it.

Lol at first I thought this was Football, then I realized it was soccer. Have fun in here.

but who cares as long as germany is paying for it. Germany isn't actually paying for Spanish clubs' debts. At least not yet. Even then, the connection would be very thin.
