He wants to stay in Brazil until 2014 afaik Correct. Also after the Madrid vs Barca episode, santos raised his salary to something I don't remember. All I know is: Money-wise he did the right move staying in brazil, because he makes about 3million per month including adversiting(it's unbelieveable how much adversiting he makes, television, clothes, shampoo, sports, even music video appearances lol). Now he needs to go to europe to achieve his maximum potential, because he is not going to here in brazil.

How you don't understand the hype of the Benfica and Porto Players? Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't Witsel, Hulk, Falcao, Deco, Coentrão, Di Maria, David Luiz, Ramires, Raul Meireles, Pepe, just to name a few, all World Class Players? Unfortunattely Benfica and Porto are kinda of satellite teams for the top european football teams. In the last 10 years Porto made 500M€ and Benfica 300M€ in transfers only.

I agree Portugal is where decent players go to become great players imo. Both Benfica and Porto in particular have done a crazy good job the last half a decade especially with respect to South Americans. Taking the wonder kids out of South America and throwing them into top clubs straight away is so risky. It often ends up wasting a huge chunk of the players development stage and the club doesnt get much out of it either, Want your South American done right ? Send him to fucking Portugal. Its obvious they know their shit they make good players and seem to profit when they let them go dont seem to mind it to much either).

NO ONE in spain is paying taxes anyway the tax debt in primera divisiion is € 752 million and that is only what the they owe the government. (not counting what they are owing the banks). but who cares as long as germany is paying for it. Germany isn't actually paying for Spanish clubs' debts. At least not yet. Even then, the connection would be very thin. yes we are. simple example: Valencia's stadium. valencia is broke as shit and they stopped building the stadium further because valencia could not pay. when help for the spanish banks was approved by the EU valencia got a bank loan and they continued the construction. "2008–2009 was to have been the last season at the Mestalla, with the club moving to their new 75,000-seater stadium Nou Mestalla in time for the 2009–2010 season. However, due to the club being in financial crisis,[6] work on the new stadium has stopped. On the 12 December 2011, club president Manuel Llorente reached an agreement with Spanish banking conglomerate, Bankia, which insured the financial security to resume work on the new stadium. It is estimated that the stadium will be completed in 2 years and will be ready for the 2014-2015 season."

But of course it's easier to learn or at least understand portugues for a castellano speaker, then, say, heavily accented english as english footballer tend to speak, or even german. Food's good, weather's nice, people are nice, For a South American, adaptation is much easier in Lisbon than in, say, Manchester. This is at least as important I think. Portuguese people are very relaxed and kind, and the culture clash is not nearly as big for a south american moving to Portugal than it would be to central Europe, plus of course the weather, which shouldn't be underestimated.
