I encourage everyone to work towards one of these events. Just get a group of friends to commit and go for it
Friend of mine just signed up for the Buffalo, NY Mudder... I'd love to do it, but it's not until July 2013, at which point I don't know where I'll be living or what I'll be doing. Maybe in the future.
Also popped my SI joint out again. Glute bridges were fine, side planks were hard as hell but fine, Back squats (really light, working on form, building up. Did 145 lbs 5x5 lol) were fine. came out on fucking Pendlay Rows, of all things. I've been doing chinups and chest supported rows for a reason, I guess. Shouldn't have pushed it.
Good news is that nothing relating to disc injuries helps, and the pain is a lot more localized to sacrum/sacroiliac joint this time than last time, so I have less to worry about (meaning I didn't break my back)... and the only position that REALLY hurts is sitting upright, everything else just results in a dull ache.
Seeing the chiropractor again at 11:45 tomorrow, hoping that helps, but Damn does my insurance suck for this kind of thing. What other exercises (besides planks, glute bridges) should I be doing to help stop this from happening?
Ask your chiro.
Depending on the type of slip/rotation etc you may need different exercises specific to your case.
Wanted to wait for the 150kg squat but my friend had a camera at gym today so I thought I might as well take a video. 147.5kg, 4RM. Technique is a bit worse than usual. I had finished a PR deadlift set (165kg x5) just before this so my stabilisers were fucking tired and I just didn't manage to stay upright properly. Still, I'll do it again on Sunday and rape it, then I'll do 150kg next week Wednesday.
Shoulder starting to feel better, tried doing a pullup today and it still kinda hurt, gonna keep off of upper body for another couple weeks, might start adding squats back in soon though, leg press machine is fucking lame. On the bright side my running has gotten better :D

If that picture was original content by one of the TLHF members and that member was willing to let it be printed on shirts for selling I would immediately second that idea but we gotta be careful of copyright laws. Unless someone could confirm that it'd be okay to do because I would buy a shirt with that thing on it in a second.

Just drop exercises that hurt it.
You can still do other upper body work
Pretty much everything hurts it still :/ Maybe supported bicep curls wouldn't I'm doing some light rehabby type work on it but taking it really slowly

Hahaha the guy at the end actually had me loling :D GJ bro, but why would you deadlift and squat max on the same day?
Haha, I didn't see that until I watched the video myself. Retarded friends :p
DL and squats on the same day is just normal SS. My squat has been progressing really quickly recently so every session is basically a PR attempt. With deadlifts, I've been working on my deadlift technique a lot so I stayed on 155kg and 160kg for a while. Yesterday just happened to be the first time I did 165kg (barring a a time 2 months ago when I did it with very poor technique).

You Deadlift before you Squat? I highly suggest to never do that...
You have a good technique on the squat. To stay upright out of the hole, bring your elbows down under the bar. It'll help the thoracic spine to stay extended and up. My squat sucks and I good morning the heavy weights but when I place the elbows properly it fixes things up.
has anyone had this problem with their balls i was getting sweaty at gym then going to work all day and it seemed rubbing from my underwear made me itchy. and now the whole underside of my penis, plus the area where it droops down over the balls, plus some of the surrounding area, is like red raw, weeping, irritated and unable to heal back to how it was... theres a thread here about it http://www.steadyhealth.com/Intensely_itchy_and_persistent_rash_on_scrotum_t84008.html?page=3 they say its a fungal problem (in most cases). to me it just seems like it happened coz i was getting sweaty and rubbing, and now it cant heal because of where it is. i would post this in injury thread but i think it might be a more commonly known issue that people here might have had themselves from gym sweating .....

I think its just regular Eczema, i get the same thing but on the inside of my tighs if i sit down by the computer sweating or excerzise alot.
Its just irritated skin, will go away in 1-2 days if you "let it breathe" so to speak, lol
edit: thought it was a fungal problem at first too, just avoid the skin touching each other

Most likely ringworm (fungal). It's not much of a problem. Just get a cream as fast as possible or else it'll take longer to heal. Don't stay in sweaty underwears too long. As soon as your training is done, put new underwear.
I'm assuming you'll need something like lotrimin to clear that up. I for future reference, get some gold bond and powder up down there when you get too sweaty/itchy and it might help with that. I also make sure you're washing your under garments, my buddy used the same pair of compression shorts too many times and got a rash down there.
yeah i got some talc (need gold bond) as soon as i realised it was a dodgy situation, but i guess because i couldnt stop itching i made it worse and worse and now its fucked. now its been 2 weeks and im pissed off its making no progress. i have antifungal cream that i could put on , i guess it wont do any harm (i wont use the hydrocortisone mix)

just put it on, doesnt hurt even if it isnt fungus, and make sure you're not sweaty
