Hahaha I still liked it though. I was going for like the most emotionally-detached logical meal(s) possible for the best nutrition but I'm enjoying this as well

probably just a shitload of eggs,tuna,broccoli,mackerel and various nuts - i like all of these and i would eat them all the time every day if i wouldnt get sick of it and if heavy metals and stuff like that were not an issue

See, for an individual meal, you're all doing it wrong. With the prep time not being an issue bit of it, clearly the correct answer is brisket, smoked for 12-14 hours. Wrapped in bacon. With a nice tangy sauce.

slow cooked ribs mmmm..... If it didn't take 6 hours to cook, I'd do it now but I'll have to settle for tomorrow :D

it's weird to start another discussion on this topic since there's already one in general, but i wanted to hear the thoughts of TLHF, since you guys are more knowledgeable about nutrition and health. so what do you guys think? seems like the OP summed it up pretty nicely, but it'd be nice to get some more input.

most of us don't care about corn, since a lot of us are eating paleo anyway. but the implications of the study are that other types of GMO can have adverse health effects too.

for me, i'll just keep buying what i normally buy at the grocery store. can't really afford the non-GMO stuff. if there was a study that showed for certain that there are negative health effects, then i'd change. but for now, the cost difference is not worth the chance of benefit.

edit - nevermind, i guess. pretty much everyone agrees that the study sucked ass.

girlfriend came back from applepicking with a shitton of applies. any good healthy recipes that you guys enjoy? i could just eat an apple a day, but that just gets boring....

One of my absolute favorite dishes:

Pork chops with apples and onions

Apples are always a good match with pork especially around the time of the year when apples are available locally and fresh. When simple pork chops served with a side of vegetables doesn’t cut it anymore, this recipe will remind you of the deliciousness of savory pork and sweet apples.

Ingredients

Pork chops and apples4 bone-in pork chops, with the trimmings;
3 tbsp lard, butter, ghee or coconut oil;
2 large onion, sliced;
4 sliced and cored apples;
Salt and pepper to taste;

Preparation

Heat a large pan over a medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper to taste.
Melt 2 tbsp of the cooking fat and fry the chops, about 5 minutes on each side, until well cooked and browned;
Set the pork chops aside, reduce the heat to medium-low, add the other tbsp of cooking fat and add the onion and apple slices;
Cook for about 4 minutes, until the onions have caramelized and the apple slices are slightly soft.
Serve the chops with the topping of apple and onions.

rEiGN~ and zatic, those look defuckinglicious. i'll look up applemash (or do i just mash up them apples?) and oats, cuz that looks like it would be an amazing post-workout snack. and i'll definitely make some porkchops. that recipe looks simple, without too much prep work, so i gotta try that out.

I've done it before once and basically you just slice the apples and remove the inedible parts, seeds and whatnot. Then put the slices in a kettle and add some water, but not so much that all the apple is covered. You can add more water later to adjust the make-up of the mash so it's better to start with little water.

I just found out this section on teamliquid.
I'd love to make food plans for starting strength trainers, or evaluate more advanced lifters and their food plans.
I currently have 6 years of advanced anatomy, strength training, nutrition and hormonal experiences ;-) I could throw a thing or two at you guys, I think. If anyone wants advice or is interested, hit me up (PM or in this thread) and I'll answer asap!

I'm currently on a 4700-5000kcal diet, eating 600g of carbs, 350g of proteins and 120-130g of fat a day.
Why so high in carbs you ask? I am a hard gainer, when I eat anything below 3500-3700kcal, I start losing weight.

It's the metabolism ;-).
I have ectomorphic traits though, Long legs, long arms, short upper body, small skeleton.. I'm like 70% ectomorphic and 30% mesomorphic by the looks of my composition. I stay very lean but wasn't all that super skinny before I started working out, and I gain weight at a decent pace once I eat enough.

followed your recipe, though i modified it just a bit. excuse my shitty cellphone camera:

2 pork chops under the onions and apples, with a side of veggies (cabbage and bokchoy).. the texture would have been better if the apples i used were more crunchy, but it was delicious nonetheless.
i ended up using no salt, and a bit of pepper for the apples and onions, but i also topped it off with some almonds to make things interesting. this was my first time stirfrying apples, and i love it. thanks for the dish

I've gone from 60kg to just under 80kg and I also am a really hard gainer. How fast are you gaining weight and how do u manage to eat 5000kcal per day?
