The only thing I'm trying to figure out, is when are the matches played - I have a day job in the EST time zone, so if it is evening CST scheduled games, I am great, but if during the day - which is probably fine for a college student - I'm screwed 'cause I gotta make a living.

Actually, if you check out the player list, it has since expanded to 43 players: http://event.msimobile.com/?page=players

In fact, if you check out the schedule, you see that there are 5 rounds for 8 finalist spots, meaning there can be as many as 256 signups: http://event.msimobile.com/?page=stem_schedule&stageid=4579

So don't be discouraged! Sign up!

I'm gold, but signed up. On a good day I can take a game off a diamond player, so it's worth a go. Plus, it's been since 1999 since I last played in a game in a tourney format, though for an FPS game at the time as a semi-pro player. So, over a decade later, it'll be nice to give it a whirl again.

How will this be organized? Will you rely on players scheduling matches themselves or have a number of set times depending on the geographical locations of the players facing eachother?

Cause the former only tends to lead to chaos and walkovers. Never seen a tournament benefit in exposure from that. The latter option works as long as the tournament format isn't too complex.

I signed up. But impossible to know whether I'll be able to show with the schedule being vague.

*edit: Seems to be geared towards US/Canada and NA server.

The schedule has not been set, as the matches haven't been set yet as the entry hasn't closed yet.

Once the entries closed, the numbers of players set, then the matches can be made. As you can read on the site, the matches will be CST (USA) time zone, so be prepared to play in the evenings during that time zone, on the NA server.

Hey everyone,

We're extending registration until Wednesday evening at 8pm CST due to the great response we've gotten from the community. Some players have requested a bit more time to register and we want to make sure that we're accommodating everyone that we can that wants to play!

An official post will be up on the event site soon announcing the extended registration period, and registered players will be notified by email once brackets and schedules are live on the site on Wednesday PM!

We'll probably get an e-mail when the brackets have been decided. I think the matches are set to be played on Thursday.

Yeah, I'd really like to know an admin. My opponent reported a 2-0 win over me when I beat him first game and then he forfeited the 2nd game. I opened a support ticket but I don't see it on my support ticket page, so I'm really hoping to get in contact with an admin
