UPDATE: We just release the first 6 players from Startale. UPDATE: viOlet was just acquired by Team Empire. Be sure to snag it CSN TC sticker before it becomes 'rare'.
iHearteSports.com is stoked to announce our new product line; collectible eSports player stickers. These baseball card sized stickers are a first of their kind product for the eSports community. Players such as White Ra, coL.MVP.DongRaeGu, coL.Catz, viOlet and others are available now. Each Tuesday throughout January and February, we will be releasing new players and announcing new team partnerships. By the end of February we will have over 30 players to collect!
Player cards have long been a part of professional sports and provide an excellent way for fans to connect with their favorite teams and players. Through our licensing agreements with each team, our collectible stickers will also provide additional merchandising revenue for each of our partner teams.
"This is a first of its kind product for the eSports community that has been many months in the making. I am so excited to release these stickers just in time for the 2012 eSports ‘season'", said Jason Tugman, Product Manager for iHearteSports.com. “One thing I am really excited about with player stickers is that they are small and light- this makes them very accessible to the global eSports community. Australia, Denmark and Germany are huge markets for eSports. Making a product that we could ship internationally and not have to charge our customers ridiculous postal fees for was really important to me. Being able to create a product that fans want, being able to make that product affordable all while supporting the eSports eco-system is, to me, a win-win-win situation".
If you are a team and want to become a product partner you can email Jason AT iHearteSports DOT com.

I don't quite understand the logo.. "I alt 3" doesn't = "I <3" Also, out of curiosity, are these stickers legal? Like, is it okay with the progamers in them, etc.

my first thought. did they seek approval from the players? do they need approval? do they players recieve any compensation for being on the card that sells?

I think its answered in the opening post:

I saw the coL ones and wasn't super interested... but then they got White-Ra in on it.

They mention on the sticker pages that the stickers are in conjunction with/support the aforementioned player/team so I'm fairly confident they've acquired their permission to do it.

Approval was given by the players.
Also.. another thing.. its 'pro gamers' not progamers.. why do TL peeps do that?

ALT+numberpad 3 = ♥

yes, these are done in partnership with the teams and/or players. We have licensing agreements with everyone and the teams get revenue from each sale.
Also, the black and white White Ra sticker was sourced from a photo from eSports photographer Azureman - which we licensed from him - so on that sticker the photographer and team makes money.

I'm only asking because I really want those collectible stickers but I won't be able to make a purchase until next month.
Yes, only a few will be limited edition so you should be able to get them with no issues. We are just limited on the first printing but after that there will be more.

Alt + 3 gives you ♥. also when something is a sponsored link on TL im sure things have been checked if they are legal. having superficial knowledge and still bitching around is kind of embarassing TT
Really...have we come to a point where eSport lives trought sticker ? OO I mean of course, I'm ok with stores with T-Shirts, posters and so (we need things like that), but sticker omg. eSports isn't elementary school...

So that means the White-Ra, viOLet, and coL stickers are all going to be available after the pre-order date right? I was under the impression that they were limited editions hence my initial question.
Just worried cause I have plans on collecting them all... hahaha. :D

The only one that may go out of stock forever is the White Ra black and white. However, we have enough that you should be ok if you need to delay a week or so. Would def pick that one up first, though.
The others however will be available. The wording on the site says 'limited pre-order stock' which means those that don't get their order in for this shipment may have to wait till the next shipment. We plan on selling the player stickers throughout the year. Those that are marked 'special edition' may be limited in quantity so those should be your first purchase if you are worried about collecting them all.
Need more merch like this for eSports. It really helps legitimize the industry. Stickers and cards were a huge part of baseball and basketball when I was growing up, and I hope that one day my kids will have their favorite players, who we watch and cheer for and I get them a card for.

Mind = Blown.
Idk how i went so long knowing dozens of codes, like é and Æ but never knew ALT PLUS THE NUMBER 3.
I like this. I hope it works out ok. I feel like merch is still something players just aren't doing. There's poeple out there who are fans of players and want to be able to support them and own something cool unique to that player, and by and large this demand is not being supplied at all.

Hey.. think of it this way.. Stickers are one step closer to 'sports card' like products. Stickers are not a small deal. Its actually a pretty big deal to have these. If stickers like this were offered in 'Disc Golf' (Frisbee Golf).. which is a sport that I have competed in.. it would be a big deal and Disc Golf is far ahead of eSports in getting to the next level of main steam acceptance. So I guess my rambling point is that these Stickers are good for eSports.. I personally think T-shirts are overdone and a bit cheesy!
Well, its good in some ways, specially if it helps the players to sustain their eSports lifestyle, but i'd really think that the eSport comunity it over this, i mean i collected cards till i was like 14? 15? most players of SC2 are older IMHO.
These are pretty cool. But you know what I could go for? SC2 unit stickers. I would totally a small sticker of the in game rendering of a marine on my truck. Just so people behind me in traffic know I could 2 rax them if necessary

We are working on these! Just getting permission from Blizz takes a little while
As a MTG player, I think these are awesome, and while I would rather have cards, I'll probably just stick any I get onto existing cards and use them as tokens. Cool stuff!

US shipping is $1.25. Canada is 1.75 International is 2.25. These are flat fees so no matter how many you order that it the shipping rate. Postal rates go up in the US this month but we won't be raising our shipping costs anytime soon.
We are actually working on a 'Special Tactics' design
Why not actual cards? instead of card-sized stickers, seems to me that the longevity would greatly increase as actual cards and provide further customization options like premium foils.
Are more cards coming soon? Only 30... There are so much more good players.
A lot of it has to do with 1) contracting teams and 2) available resources. While stickers are not insanely expensive they do add up quickly. We would love to do ever player who finished RO32 or better but, again, that has more to do with the teams wanting in than anything else.
If you want a specific team be sure to tell them! It really does help
bought myself a super sweet bundle the other day, really liked the additional comment that gets sent with the receipt thanks, can't wait to show them off!
For those wondering what they could do with these. You could perhaps get them autographed when you do see the player. They will be pretty compact and easy to carry in your bag if you attend a tournament and meet them
