I don't know how to break this to you but waifu's aren't real. I know it's hard. You can cry on my shoulder. It'll all be ok.

We've only witnessed the Otter's hand - or so we've been led to believe. As far as we're concerned, it's not cheating cuz Otter doesn't exist.

I feel like the correct solution to this problem is obviously to commission somebody on deviantart to draw an anime representation of your wife so she can also be your waifu.
The ultimate conclusion to this is to put her on a body pillow BTW.

content warning: THS gives a semi-serious queer response to the proposed conundrum
+ Show Spoiler +To go back a few topics, I think a lot of the dating frustrations (not problems per se) that came up in this topic stem from an attachment to the social norms of cishetero-monogamy (or at least the belief that this is what a relationship is supposed to be like) but a detachment from actually desiring a typical cishetero-monogamous relationship.
Polyamourize and queer all the things and your relationship issues will melt away! Also, to be replaced by newer different issues.
Also, all of my partners exist and your waifu(s) do not. Despair, weebs.
Although I like KS's soundtrack (best part of ks by far), it's another game I play with the sound off. So hearing the soundtrack just makes me think "oh hey let's look up like 1.5 songs on youtube" rather than "wow replay".

Also, diving was super fun. Like way more fun than I thought it would be.
It was like exploring on land, which I already love. But underwater! Darkest dungeon is such a fun game dude. Too bad my save file got deleted I've always wanted to go diving sometime, just unlucky that I'm broke.
Snorkeling is a fun and cheap alternative (like $10 once instead of $100/day) if you can find a cool area to do it in.

This is neat, but jeez they're really making their lines complex to follow. Now there's Fantasy (sort-of), Sigmar, 40k, Forgeworld, and 30k, and they're sometimes but not always interchangeable. Bleh, makes it harder to get into.

Forgeworld isn't its own thing. They make lines for 30k and 40k. Which are the same universe, but, as the names suggest, 10000 years apart. 30k is just the setting of time during the Horus Heresy (all the Primarchs are alive, no Chaos Space Marines, the Astartes existed within Legions instead of Chapters), and 40k is the setting that most people know (GRIMDARK). Forgeworld is just the "high quality" line of Games Workshop. They make most of the cool flyers, conversion bits, and superheavy vehicles for 30k/40k, but they are the same line and can be used together (unless your group is living in the 1990s still).

You forgot the part where no one likes Age of Sigmar.
|
Yeah I've never heard of age of sigmar before but it sounds dumb.
I require more explanation.
|
No one likes Age of Sigmar because they botched the game itself. I think people would be more receptive to the story if the game was actually fun to play.
Instead, they took out points values and removed army building guidelines, so basically you can just show up with whatever models you have and fight your buddy, even if he has just bowmen and you have 5 Daemon Princes.
And the Stormcast Eternals are more or less "here, we made new Fantasy models, but really they're just for converting into Marines and Blood Angels".
They basically took the rules and said "No one actually wants to play this game, do they? Let's just chuck these and hope they continue buying models instead."
Hopefully the extremely poor showing on this will keep them from doing the same to 40k. But, if they do, Mantic is making a new game called Warpath, which is basically 3rd party 40k in a different universe. They did a good job of taking the spot of Warhammer Fantasy Battles with Kings of War (which is basically now the de facto large scale fantasy game) in every tournament. And, Mantic actively encourages you to bring your old models and/or mix and match them with their stuff.

But the fantasy=>sigmar thing doesn't really mean much, since they use the same models (which are still purchaseable) and the fantasy rules still exist, so all the "end times killing it" really amounts to is that they're stopping production of new whfb rulebooks and creating a few new sigmar-exclusive lines (not-space marines). It's harder to navigate this though as a new player, who could potentially still get into whfb but get confused. Also apparently the whole sigmar thing just kind of sucks?
Conversely, a lot of the 40k/30k models are interchangeable but not all of them which makes things confusing to navigate unless you already know it all, and idk what's up with forgeworld since a lot of people have told me that lots of groups / tournaments don't use fw stuff? Idk it might be a 1990's nostalgia thing, but I have no idea as a new player. Also they're listed in completely different places (GW website, official books) from the rest of the 30k/40k stuff so it's not immediately navigatable.
It's just a clusterfuck to get into. Still doing it though and I do appreciate the help / clarifications!

To anybody here who's ever been sued/know somebody who's been sued in a car accident, can you PM me.
Mom was involved in an accident a few months back, she just told me she's getting sued apparently. She doesn't read English very well, so when stuff like this happens to her, me and my sister usually help out. Just seeing if I can get someone to tell me what to expect. Thanks

They aren't even available to purchase, outside of non-GW stores that have stock left over. The Fantasy universe is Age of Sigmar now. Which, sucks, but that's the way it is.
30k/40k is interchangeable in that a lot of the models have rules for both. And, you can use your 30k Marines to represent 40k Space Marines/Chaos Space Marines if you'd like. It's pretty clear on the Forgeworld site which is which, since they're in completely different sections of the site. 30k is FW exclusive as well. This new box from GW is just a board game, the actual rules for 30k/Age of Darkness are only through FW.
As for places not using FW, well, there long was a stigma of FW models being broken (and some are really good, like the Y'vahra or Malanthrope), but honestly outside of the superheavies like the Warhound Titans, they're not anywhere outside of 40k's regular power levels nowadays. Most big tournaments allow FW models (occasionally with limiters of 0-1), and a quick run-through of what they do is usually enough for any FLGS players to not feel scared.

I was going to post something but then realized our systems of law are vastly different. General advice is to get a lawyer to go through everything with you before taking any action. Don't try contact the person directly without a lawyer. Generally here if they just after money and you have insurance ,the insurance company may just decide to settle it instead which will be something between them. As I said I don't know how it works there though.

Y'know, for all the praise people were giving Graham McNeill when he said Riot had hired him, I'm none too impressed by his stuff. At first I'd liked the start of the Bilgewater event, and as harsh as Gangplank's trade of human scrimshaw was, it was also a pretty significant way to establish his character and through him, Bilgewater's.
But with the following chapters, and especially the way MF's backstory and motives were rewritten, it had "ooh, you want to be daaark" all over it. And now it's the same, with the style of throwing 3 adjectives per noun, all caricatural (see Lucian is hardboiled, the first goon encountered is obese and arrogant, etc.) Is the Black Library made of the same stuff? Because it's thoroughly unimpressive.
|
I didn't read any of the bilgewater stuff but in general my friends told me they loved it and thought it was the coolest league story event yet.
|
The universe should establish the characters not the characters establish the universe when it comes to fantasy. This is just young adult fan fiction for a young adult audience.

I liked the Shurima event a lot. Was that written by this guy?
|
No, he was hired not even 4 months ago. Shurima's lore failed in that they completely screwed up Xerath's extended lore. Basically he should be seen as a slave who "befriended" Azir, and was brought into the latter's service, under pretense of equality and being treated well, as a person. Meanwhile, Xerath's still technically a slave, and while Azir, the soon-to-be Emperor himself, is amicable, he's still basically giving him orders, and Xerath has some autonomy but isn't free in any sense of the word. So Azir having promised him freedom several times over the year, each time saying "it'll come one day", Xerath sees him as detached nobility who lives far too above his people to actually understand them, at best, and at worst an hypocrite gauding him with promesses of freedom. So Xerath decides to take the power for himself and get rid of the nobility during the rite of Ascension.
Or at least that was supposed to be Xerath's PoV, with Azir's giving us another view, but none in particular being explicitely said right. Xerath's lore was written in a way that said Azir was benevolent and good to him and that he gave him a lot of privileges and he was a slave only in name, and Xerath was secretly emo and angry because he thought he was still a slave and wanted to do everything as he pleased, so he plotted to usurp the Ascension. They auto-sabotage the PoV they want us to get of Xerath by saying in the same sentences that Xerath's throwing tantrums over nothing. And the day Azir is to ascend, he tells Xerath that he's officially setting him free (more or less implied along with a bunch, if not all slaves? Memory's a bit muddy on that one), and Xerath instantly regrets everything he's done but because his plan has already started it's too late, so he decides to complete it while saying this ("too late") to Azir.
Actually, summing it up like this it reminds me of how Blizzard made Illidan a complete emo appealing to teenagers and the unsuccessful nerd with power fantasies (that's basically how he's depicted, with actual power) with what could have been a good character. Which could act as a TL;DR.

I think you're expecting too much Alaric.
The rare time I actually give a shit about League lore I want Justice League, not Marvels Daredevil.
