He's actually very important to me, his videos and videos of his brother helped me with my loss of faith. Very good if you're interested in that sort of topic.

Unlucky. Indeed the matter seems to speak of a situation of diminished fortune.

okay changed my question a bit
I dont like that episode as an argument because its not clear if in the alternate world developed identically with everyone looking the same or if it just made everyone look the same and the past was still there. Plus I don't really like using fictional sources as arguments unless you have something that shows that's what happens in real life too.
but yeah lol

twitch.tv/phyvocawcaw
Streaming Rivals of Aether. Never really streamed anything before so I'm feeling nervous for no particularly good reason.

I expected Phyvo to have more hair, what with Monte's glorious mane and all.
This isn't a stream link: good ol' wall o'text. That's just to stop spamming skype and here with my ramblings, so instead I posted my thoughts about a budget MTG deck for some concept, in the correct thread, if any of the residents connoisseurs here feel like slapping my head out of its foolish preconceptions.

Things that you just naturally do as a matter of course/habit are foreign and inexplicable to someone else, and set you apart without you realizing it. That's something I find interesting when I teach new LoL players (or maybe that's part of why I like teaching new players): there's so much stuff I find trivial, and I've got to give them the right basics. You can't tell them all at once to focus on last-hitting so they can buy all these fancy items more easily, to play more conservatively so they'd don't die and thus don't miss exp and farm (eg. they'll zone themselves from anyone's posturing, most often), to try and play aggressive a bit so they learn their limits for the next time, etc. and I'm not even started on item builds.
It helps me put into perspective all that we take for granted that isn't easy for beginners. I'm also aware that while I make efforts not to look down on them ('cause we were all new one day and I should know I'm above average and all that), I tend to treat such matters as easy/inconsequential, and it can show in my language during the game (and make them think they're being looked down upon).
On the other hand, because I spend so much time at work idling, daydreaming, or just shitposting here or browsing reddit (that's just an excuse, I often don't even get anything from it), I tend to view myself as lazy and not that competent/productive. Add to it my coworkers being more productive than me on average and the fact that my job as a postgrade is technically the same an undergraduate can be hired for. But I'm still being praised for the quality of my code (not the speed at which I write it though ) and when I've got issues with coming late at work they're trying to figure them out rather than just putting me on the gril when they've had numerous occasions over the last 9 months. So my work and skill must be at least somewhat valuable, in the absolute sense if not relative to my coworkers.

Or bookmark this link I'm providing for I think the third time recently and just check world's thread? It's not bullshit if it's pointing out that you're asking again for help without caring to re-use what you were given the previous times you did so.
(I'm pretty sure there's some remark to be made by making a parallel between that last retort and the rest of my post.)

Holy shit it looks so good. I played UT 2004 a lot.

Boo, internet is acting up, cant stream, but phyvo has you

You guys don't get instant feedback at work? If I did well I get to know it, if I did shit I get to know it. If I do overall well over the year I get to know it.
|
Oh the "coming late" thing was addressed in January, from last year's evaluation, it's just two weeks ago there was a report about how the "address" was going. Otherwise every 6 months at least we've got an evaluation on the current project, independant from the yearly evaluation.
I heard some stuff I didn't expect (as in "I expected to hear earlier if it happened, not there") in last year's evaluation, so I mentioned it and said I didn't find it very conducive to improvements. Other coworkers said that some people are talking in others' backs so feedback isn't always there.

I have some receding hairline but most of my hair is tied up on the back of my head. Right now it's long past my shoulders and needs a haircut pretty badly.

It's a game made by smash fans who, I guess, wanted something new. Main mechanical differences are that it has parrying instead of shields (which means no grabs since they're kind of pointless as a result) and you can use any attack out of dash so wavedashing isn't so useful. Currently it's in early access and has just 6 characters but 8 are planned for official release. It plays well as I said but sometimes you run into laggy online or, if you're me, you spend most of your time getting your butt kicked.
Had to end the stream kinda early because I have to wake up at 3:30 tomorrow. Wheee.
edit: another note, the game plays *really* smoothly and I've watched some pretty sick high level matches, it's very well made. It looks cooler without my pitiful flopping around I think.
