Apparently nowhere in my area has brother-in-law christmas cards. Only "sister and husband." What a way to make someone feel part of the family. Thanks, Hallmark, a family company.

Hm, could I make a steam account for my brother, gift games to it, and then give him the info in a card or something for Christmas? Is there some like ToS against having 2 steam accounts and transferring games?

Arena's fair, it's just boring as fuck after a few drafts, because by and large you're drafting so many of the same safe picks every time.
It's honestly the biggest barrier for me in HS. In order to earn enough cards to play with things better than Yetis in constructed, I have to play with Yetis for hours and hours in Arena.

Plus in MMORGs you can at least go off and do other stuff.

dunno, I dont mind playing the same with somewhat randomish decks with cards i dont normally get to play with, but if you're a huge theorycrafter I imagine why its a problem for you

I'm just used to wider variation and archetyping in limited formats in MtG. A lot of the fun of limited there was that you saw a lot wider variation than in constructed, but in HS that's hardly even true given how many common safe cards you default to because of the Arena picking format.
It should partially fix itself as expanding the card pool allows for stronger archetyping with regard to how individual classes play, but so long as it's pick 30 play 30, picking will still have to be somewhat conservative because of how a risk that doesn't pan out results in bad cards you HAVE to play.
Arena is fair in that my opponent gets like 4 fireballs and 3 pyroblasts while I'm sitting on the most garbage cards imaginable. But hey, it was randomly generated, so its all cool.
