Poe was a really fantastic writer all around IMO. this is coming from someone who hated 99% of K-12 english and has avoided any sort of formal literature course since oh man so our Honors English class. It was far easier than our regular english, since it was taught by this old lady who basically didn't even grade you on anything. No one did any reading for the class, except me. And I did it during class because I was so bored. The problem was the reading selection: Willa Cather. I will be truly amazed if anyone here has heard of Willa Cather; she wrote about life on the prairie in the 1800s. WE READ THREE OF HER NOVELS. NONE WERE INTERESTING. i mean, that was the entire first semester the second semester was Romeo & Juliet and Tale of Two Cities | ||
