Afks are less the norm when they happen on euw but they're still annoying. Our J4 attempts his very first gank on mid and because he didn't get a kill out of it tells our mid "fuck you" and immediately disconnects. Guy must have been pretty pissed going in to the game if thats all it took.

Not sure whether to Loci or Shikyo this, but I had a team so bad that they couldn't group for 5v5s, and the one time we did we lost horribly, but we were winning 3v5s and 4v5s. I don't understand. My brain.

I did this Herculean thing to save a Graves on my team- Tidal Waved to keep the enemy's backline from getting to him and knock up the Malz (who was trying to ult Graves), bubble the Shen/Jarvan on top of him, exhaust the Jarvan while healing Graves, use my Crucible to help Graves survive the last bit of J4 burst.

And then Graves dashes forward and kills himself on the Shen's thornmail during cleanup (by his own admission) and can't pause for like 100 milliseconds so I can catch up and heal him. I'm still twitching in frustration.

Why must people split push when your so ahead, the only thing that can make you lose is split pushing?

You can't even convince them otherwise because of the typical "oh I'm creating pressure, don't know why you guys aren't doing anything".

It's to a point I legitimately can't figure out if they just want to look good and have most CS in the game, or if they just want to farm until 6 items to see how much damage their champion does.

It's similar to the weird obsession people have with baron. Every second game they just randomly start baron. And in the majority of cases that means that everyone dies, and the enemy gets baron and an inhib for free. Games very rarely get won by randomly starting a baron, but so many games get lost there.

And yeah, splitpushing often is insanely funny. If you start splitpushing, and die 15 seconds in, how is the rest of your team supposed to "create pressure" in the meantime. It's a soloqueue game. You can't get 4 people to the same spot in 15 seconds, and even if you could, you would just have to run away instantly because you are now 4v5 and the enemy is gonna be there any second. Or they will just 1-2x push the lane where your splitpusher just died while the rest of their team comfortably defends turrets 3-4v4.

Splitpushing has multiple requirements to make it actually useful:
a) You need to be able to beat any one of their champions 1v1, comfortably.
b) You need to NOT die if 2 or more come for you. Things that help with that: Being a champion that is good at escaping. Warding correctly.
c) You need to have teleport up in case your team gets caught in a 4v5.
d) You need to be able to keep that pressure up for medium periods of time and be able to make some sort of progress against 1 champion + turret.
e) You need to be certain that the remaining 4 people won't instantly start a bad 4v5 and die before you are able to port in.

If any of the above are not true, you are better of just slightly pushing the lane so a wave starts building up and then grouping with your team to do whatever.

I'm on a winning spree and currently Dia 1 37 LP, an other game is really going our way, it's like 27-10 even though we have poor early game champs (katarina, vayne) we're getting all towers and they will ff20 in a minute.

10-0 into 26-7-9 with cait and my team just couldn't get together for a proper fight. Everyone going off to die somewhere alone or trynd farming top at 40min+, so we lose the final fight and the game. Just great. I always try to make something happen by going to other lanes, but it's hopeless when half the team just runs away from a 5v2 opportunity or you have to ask 10times and someone still goes to do something alone and dies.
