Well, my ISP once randomly blacklisted riot and blizzard game servers, or something along those lines. Everything else worked, but i could play neither LoL nor any Blizzard game. It affected nothing else, and it only happened for people with vodafone internet, but apparently for all of those. So it could really be true. Still, i have come to the conclusion that companies always lie just to make you shut up if something does not work, so it might as well be riot (well, actually that was another thing with my ISP, maybe other companies are different and actually tell you what is wrong instead of random BS. I should really switch, but i am just so lazy while it is working, plus i haven't heard of any ISP which is not a steaming pile of shit.) | ||

It's got to do with Comcast's shitty routing that's creating a bottleneck in the route to Riot's servers. If you haven't actually investigated your tracert, don't call anyone out for claiming that the problem isn't what they claim it is. | ||

You can usually skip one role completely as long as it is not support. So 8 champions would be completely fine for ranked, and you need 16 to queue. A deep champion pool is not really necessary, and might even be detrimental when compared to focussing on actually learning a smaller pool of champions. Runes, you should have ~3 pages and you can play every role, anything more is usually very specific. AD/AD/Armor/MR AP/Mpen/Armor/MR GP10/Mpen/Armor/MR. So you don't need a lot of stuff to be able to play ranked at all, most of that you should be able to afford very shortly after you reach 30. | ||
