1. Dark with combinations of infestors+corrosive bio while being stacked in lower economy for 30 minutes. 2. Maru with fast transitions into hellbats+thors+ghosts combo to counter blords+infestors+banes. 3. Creator with creative builds against DRG and Maru, ended up winning the games handsomely, except the first game against DRG. 4. Hero with tricky oracles play, and fast warp-in of stalkers to counter the mutalisks' at the critical moment of the game. The weakest perhaps DRG, but still he did not play in poor standard and just a bit sloppy like Creator did in first game. He managed to take a win against Hero, but Hero won against Dark. | ||

Thank you Tastosis for the great casting as well making it that much more enjoyable! I remember when he did so well but barely didn't make it out of his 2020 S3 group when he lost g3 vs Zest. He's been at it for so long, I'm so happy to see him play at his potential again! His playstyle feels so ambitious and impressive to me, now his consistency is there too. All the games were really great/long, with plenty of variety and unique games as well. It was almost 5 hours of GSL today of 8/10 or higher quality games. This was definitely one, if not the best day out of GSL group days. And definitely a very top tier GSL day in general. I love how LoTV continues to flourish, and the game is so beautiful! I was super worried when herO almost threw g1 vs Dark. Holy moly can you stack your air any harder than that??? Plus all he had to do was camp outside of Dark's base and slowly mine from the bases on Dark's side. He could have threw a Nexus down at Dark's 5th, which would have just helped give him a Battery Overcharge. And he could have threw a few more Batteries/Canons down too with his bank of 4k 4k at the time. But no he kept trying to A move into Dark's chokes and spores, and kept stacking up all his air to 1 fungal + 10 biles... holy crap lol. Anyway, glad he was able to win that in the end. It was more interesting that way I guess haha. It was so cool seeing herO play with that Gateway Oracle style, and Zerging Dark as Protoss. He had like 90 workers with 100 supply vs Dark's 50 workers and 140 supply, so interesting! Loved the way he used Stasis Wards too, always wanted to see their potential! Dark vs Maru was a great Bo3 too, 1.5 hours long... g3 Maru was so close, at the very end he ran most of his army to the left side of the map, I'm not sure why. That allowed Dark to move in when he was out of position, and Dark's army was already parked right outside and would know when Maru's army left. I think he probably would have failed to hold that final attack anyway, BUT if he had presplit all his Bio and kept his Thors a bit further back, and tried to snipe the infestors with his tank + scan, a hold might have been possible. Actually it makes me curious now, if he built 1 Bunker to help vs Ultra/Bane, that might have been very useful too considering you can salvage it. So far though it's cool that Creator beat DRG, DRG beat Hero, Hero beat Dark, Dark beat Maru. Other than Creator beating Maru, the group was almost a full circle. Excited to see Day 2 of this group, I hope it's really close and exciting! And that Creator gets out in Top 2! | ||
