Honestly I would like to see more early dynamic play with allins, 100% make or break. Late game TvZ just isn't enjoyable in this meta. Shorter rush distances could be a vitamin injection for this game.

Look at submarine to know where maps with short rush distance will end up.

A couple of friends and I have wondered if putting transfuse as a lair tech upgrade could work? That way, queens can still perform their role as a eco / creep spread unit in the early game, but doesn't have the ridiculous HP to defend early game aggro

They didn't?
He lost a base, a dozen drones and many lings.
The only reason he didn't just die to the follow-up was because Clem lost a third of his eco to a runby that could have been stopped by one singular hellbat. Or a full wall. Or anything.

True, that's probably why only few top Zergs can rely on this high-eco/constant-trades style without dying before 3/3/adrenalin. Let see if Clem chooses to do something drastic to stay in the tournament.

He did a runby and Clem forgot to close his wall, so he managed to compensate the dmg from the hellbat. He sacrified his B3 to get baneling and defended the push without being dead.

But you were probably too focus on whining to watch the game.

They are the Zerg equivalent of Chronoboost/Recall and Orbital Commands. Protoss macro mechanics don't cost anything extra, and Orbital Commands don't cost Supply.

Queens are super strong, I'm not saying they aren't, but when looking at how much they do for Zerg keep in mind what they are the answer to for the other races.

If you want them to cost more, suggest a raise to their mineral cost. They will not cost gas, I can promise you Blizzard will never do that.

I think BC rushes would just kill every Zerg. I doubt you could even hold that somewhat decently if you had to invest time to get lair + an upgrade to be fine.

And what everyone just keeps ignoring is: if Clem hadn't lost such a huge amount of SCVs to the counter runby, he would have had a HUGE advantage. Yes, Reynor was able to survive, but he lost a lot. Clem just managed to lose almost as much.

Mate, SC2 is a game where 1 mistake can always get expensive. The time Reynor lost 10 banes to a mine was irrelevant in comparison due to timing.
