Also curious how much the threat of randomly timed mutas (which were indirectly buffed through thor nerf) make the midgame harder and I wonder to what extend the ultra buff makes terrans feel like lategame is even worse than it already was. Those changes might have an indirect effect on the balance. Yes that's very possible. Like the Leenock vs Maru game with the nydus looked weird.

I don't know if you watch any protoss streams but Zest was getting annihilated by Maru in the lategame on ladder. He looked almost unbeatable with non stop counterattacks, nukes, and ghost snipes/emps. He looked really fucking good which makes these results even more depressing

In my mind and without a doubt: Maru is the best player in the world in preparation format and long tournament, because he is insanely good at preparing strategies and has the micro to do stuff no one is capable of. Serral is the best player in the world in week/week-end tournament, by far, because he is the most solid and consistent player in the world. In this format, I think TY has a much better chance against Serral than Maru in my opinion. Now the question is which kind of tournament is the "best representative" and there is no good answer there, it's apple and orange.
