Of course I am replying to you, I even addressed you by name. I actually don't know how to quote here on my smartphone xd
Rogue and Dark were the best zerg after Serral last year but they did not benefit from the patch. On the other hand, Team Liquid was calling Rogue "patchzerg" at the start of 2018 after he rose to prominence from nowhere in 2017; it was just a prediction that was proven wrong since Rogue proceeded to play well and win during 2018 as well.
I knew you were not serious, but a serious answer was needed nevertheless.
Koreans still are the best, even if the best player at the moment arguably is not one of them; the real problem is not even top koreans going to the army as Rogue is not going and Dark, Solar, Maru were born in 1995-96-97, Taeja and Parting are back. The problem is that there won't be replacements for the ones going, especially Protoss.

Which patch are you even talking about? Was there some significant Zerg buff?
|
Technically not a single one, i'd say every patch after last balance changes in 4.3. If i remember correctly, no, they were not buffed! Probably the map pool used was someway favorable to Zerg, tho.

Just caught up on most but not all the VODs. Amazing event like always.
My favorites were Showtime Harstem and cure Rogue

koreans cant even start 2/2 on time these days, elazer makes 31 overlords per game and somehow keeps winning, highest skill era.
I was calling Reynor the next foreign banjo prior to his Code S run, the kid is good.

He's a young foreign player with a lot of potential - it naturally gets the casters excited about the next generation of "foreign hopes" "foreign hopes" LOL. We're more in need of getting korean hopes. Korean scene is almost dead and people still act like they're this unstoppable force that needs to be overcome. Until the army calls they are. AFter the army calls the Korea v Foreigner lands figth is over and all the hype about beating Koreans will die out. I already have little hype left for foreigners beating koreans because most koreans are well past their peak and every foreigner beating a korean accelerates the death of the korean scene (early knocked out players more likely to retire etc) "Cheering" for new foreign hopes that make it even harder for the remaining koreans to earn money and force them to military sooner is weird imo. I mean you can of course cheer for him because you like him or because he's a great talent but nowadays I think it's weird for someone to specificially want foreigners to beat koreans.
Byul retiring after losing against a foreigner in a Code S qualifier was rather alerting.

I'm 2 hours 20mins into day1... starting to consider watching on mute as incontrol is insufferable.
I like HSC laid back approach, but incontrol takes that as a license to not care at all about the commentary.
I tune in to watch the games, if he has no interest in commentating the games then he should go sit with everyone else at the back.
