Probably the closest anyone's ever missed out on blizzcon? A while back there was a tie breaker. I think Forgg was one of the players.
That tiebreaker was won 3-2 I believe? I still think sOs's was close because of the sheer number of single maps that would have swayed it
If sOs won the last game against Losira in gsl s2, the last game against Bunny for IEM shangai, or the last game against Inno in gsl s3, he'd be going. Also if Inno or herO took the last game against Rogue today

Ah, damn. I had no idea the final was being played today. Not that I had the opportunity to watch it live, but I spoiled the results for myself.
Oh well, I'll Check out the VODs anyways.
Really Happy with Rogue going to Blizzcon!
Three zerg, three terran, two protoss from Korea. Five zerg, two terran, one protoss from Circuit.
A few more protoss from Circuit would be nice, but I like zerg, so I'm fine with it.

So happy for Rogue. He has always been a super entertaining player to watch, and to see him complete the circle has been awesome as hell. Well deserved! Can't wait to watch the games.

Rogue, a monster all year ? Please definitely not a monster all year but for the last 3-4 months he has been a top 3 player so he really should be at blizzcon- If you include IEM, practically the last 6 months

It would have been Rogue anyway.
Because of this lucky 0.2sc soO's queen

He is clearly overrated, he can't carry his race and he can't even 3-0 everybody lol what a shame.
That's why he isn't the GOAT.

After all that talk about zerg being UP in korea, they get three into blizzcon.
So, which zerg whinner will eat crow first?

These three have been insanely consistant this year compared to a lot of good protoss and terran players

I would vote for that!! I was thinking about this today. Classic won't be going, sOs won't be going. I don't understand why they've divided the spots equally between Korea vs Europe/americas. They should just use total points but yes they are doing this so Korea won't dominate......

Recommended games? VODS are up already?

I didn't catch the ro4 earlier only the finals. I just finished watching Rogue vs Inno and holy shit, Rogue is incredible. The way he dismantled every move from Inno was insane. The burrowed banelings, the ling counters, the mass muta and ling switches. I don't think Rogue quite has the mechanics of Dark or Life just yet, but for sure he knows how to win
You just cannot beat Rogue with mech, he attacked in with locust/viper to garantee damage and slow the terran down for the most part. When it came to the big push, he suicided banes into the hellbat line and then quickly maxed out on lings to sweep the ramaining tanks and thors before Inno had a chance to move in
It's not even like Inno played badly or was unlucky either, that game on mech depot was brilliant. Inno's micro and pushing power is a spectacle

Hopefully you see what I meant when I said I give SH less credit and Rogue more credit for defeating mech. I'm far from convinced that Serral or any other foreign Zerg could pull off the same victories against Inno. Not to mention, for all that you credit surprise for allowing Inno to defeat Dark, surprise played an equally big factor in the Inno vs Rogue series; that was the first time I've seen Inno play against SH. Presumably Inno is now working on a counter at this very moment. And given what he showed on Mech Depot, it's hardly like he must go mech either. He's not Gumiho, he has plenty of skill with bio TvZ.

I already knew which games were mech from reading the LR earlier anyway. He got crushed in both games he tried to do it. It was yet another example of mech not working. The three reasonably close games were the 2 bio ones and the rush game. Also, I was saying that Inno would lose if he went mech before the matches even happened today, the results only reinforced my opinion.
Yes I agree Rogue played absolutely perfect, and that Inno was still impressive. But my judgement of mech is based of the korean terran collective, not restricted to Inno. It just loses to zergs that know how to deal with it. I've said over the course of this entire tournament that every player who goes mech will lose, and iirc they all did.
(and I'm not trying to balance whine btw, I think terran balance is fine, just this mech is not a viable style right now. Ultimately, I will not be convinced otherwise until I see high level terrans sersiously beating zergs with it. As far as I'm concerned that's not happened yet beyond the inital Inno vs Dark series that boosted mech into the meta)

Every Terran who tried to go bio also died. Maru got 3-0'd 2 mech games 1 bio game, and he did much better with the mech games than the one bio game. Dark 3-0'd Bunny's bio like he wasn't even trying. The second bio game of Innovation's didn't seem particularly close either after Rogue knew what to expect, and those games were on maps with much smaller rush distances with Innovation getting away with some of the greediest openings (3 cc into 2 hellion double eng no wall at natural?) which makes those bio / tank pushes a lot more viable. I think it was more just Rogue outplaying everyone.
