Which I guess makes sense when most of your games end long before you need more than 4. Yeah he never used to use them much. For example in TvZ up until May or so, his late game transitions were mostly non-existent. Towards July (iirc) he started using ghosts a lot in the late game, but still no liberators usually. He's only started using liberator compositions more recently. I'm not convinced by the strength of liberator compositions anyway. only polt and TY seem to use them a lot, most koreans prefer ghosts too. Most Koreans use both units in the late game, including TY. The zoning the liberator provides is very valuable and the anti-air capability doesn't hurt. Inno skipped ghosts in Code A against Dark. But then again now he skips all infantry. TaeJa didn't use liberators and he had the most success against lategame Zerg. Byun and TY try to use both but with moderate success so far. most other terrans aren't confident in going lategame at all.

He also played weaker players. TaeJa is the only player in Korea who had any success in late game TvZ without building liberators this year. And it's not like he never used them.

Imagine if this was WoL Socke? Seriously? Socke beat Kas in the loser bracket to face Demuslim. It's like time travel. Just sadder.
