Since neither option can be proven or disproven, we can only operate on what we know. We are not aware that he was dealing with injuries then, so it's pointless to presume otherwise for the sake of argument.

Because BW Protoss was about massing basic units and controlling them well, while SC2 Terran is about the same thing. Likewise, BW Terran was about building up to unstoppable mechanical deathballs, while SC2 Protoss is about building up big deathballs.
