Tournament registration closes at 5:00 PM Eastern Time (“ET”) and closes the earlier of either when 128 Eligible teams (each such team comprising two Eligible Players registered as one competing entity) have successfully registered for the Tournament or 11:59 PM ET on the eve of the tournament. (the “Registration Period”). Sponsor shall have the sole discretion in determining the timeliness of any action or inaction related to this Tournament based on its timekeeping systems.

To register, you must go to www._____________________.com during the Registration Period, complete the online registration form.

After you fully and accurately complete the registration form (including providing all requested information about you and the other Eligible Player on your team) and Sponsor receives it during the Registration Period, your team will be registered to compete in the Tournament (“Team”). In no event may an Eligible Player be included in more than one (1) Team. In the event an Eligible Player is registered on more than one (1) Team, Sponsor will in its sole discretion determine the Team for that Eligible Player. In such case, the other Team’s registration will then be terminated and the remaining Eligible Player may re-register: (a) during the Registration Period consistent with the above terms; or (b) if that Eligible Player’s Team is disqualified after the Registration Period and less than 128 teams have registered, up to one (1) hour before start of the Tournament. Sponsor may disqualify any Team at any time if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Team does not consist of two Eligible Players, did not fully or accurately complete his or her registration form, cannot complete registration fee payment, or for any other reason.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected registrations or registrations not received regardless of cause. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a registrant, the identity of the entrant will be determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to require government issued photo identification in order to determine the identity of a registrant. Registrations become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Your failure to properly complete and submit the registration, or to follow any of the other terms of these Official Rules, may result in disqualification.

TOURNAMENT CHECK IN: In addition to registration, to participate in the Tournament, all Teams must check in online by joining the chat channel “RedBullArchon” in the Legacy of the Void Battle.net Chat Service between 9:00 AM ET and 11:00 AM. You warrant and represent that you and your Team will abide by all laws, regulations, ordinances, and rules, and that you will not harm, attempt to harm, or threaten to harm any person (including yourself) or property in relation to or during your participation in the Tournament.

The winning Team of the Bracket will receive one (1) Grand Prize.

The Tournament will be played out in several rounds. Teams will be initially seeded into the Bracket based on their WCS-point standings as displayed on Blizzard Entertainment’s official WCS standings page - (http://wcs.battle.net/sc2/en/standings). If a ranking is not available for a Team, Sponsor will seed each the Team in its sole discretion. In the event that less than 128 Teams register for the Tournament, Sponsor will set the bracket based on the number of Teams registered, with certain Teams being given a first round bye.

Single Elimination Stage: Up to 128 Teams will be entered into the Single Elimination Stage of the Tournament, and be played out up to the Semi-Finals in “best-of three” matches. Once a Team has won two games then the match will be over and the losing Team will be eliminated from the Tournament. Sponsor reserves the right to re-seed Teams during the Single Elimination Stage according to their performance in the Group Stage.

Semi-Final and Final Stage: The Semi-Final and Final stage will be played out in “best-of-five” matches. Once a Team has won three (3) games then the match will be over and the losing Team will be eliminated from the Tournament. The Semi-Final and Final Stage will end when there is only (1) Team that has not been eliminated from the Tournament. That Team will be declared the potential Grand Prize winner.

All dates are subject to change. The specific time and opponent for each Team’s first match will be determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion and details will be distributed to each Team via screens at the Tournament venue prior to the first tentative play time for the Bracket. Subsequent matches will proceed according to the schedule determined by Sponsor and also communicated via screens at the Tournament venue. All decisions of the Sponsor related to the Tournament are final and binding. Teams are expected to be present in the Tournament venue one hour before the Tournament begins, to receive their first match assignment.

REQUIRED REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES: As an Eligible Player, you and your Team must comply with the following criteria as applicable (collectively, the “Required Representations and Warranties”):

(i) You will not engage in any unsportsmanlike conduct during the Tournament. If an administrator needs to resolve any issue relating to your conduct, then any decision made by that administrator will be final and not appealable except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Any offensive remarks, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, will not be tolerated and you and your Team may be immediately disqualified.

(v) Your participation in the Tournament must comply with all of Blizzard Entertainment's terms and requirements (including, but not limited, to the end user license agreement) for StarCraft II and Battle.net service.
If you or the other Eligible Player on your Team violates any of the Required Representations and Warranties, you and your Team may be disqualified from the Tournament at any time in Sponsor’s sole discretion. You agree to reimburse Sponsor and Sponsor Affiliates in full for any losses, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees that they may sustain from you breaching these Official Rules.

By registering, you individually and on behalf of your Team grant to Sponsor a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, freely assignable license to reproduce your registration and any images, descriptions, audio, or video of your participation in the Tournament and to otherwise use, exploit, copy, modify, adapt, edit, publish and display your registration and any images, descriptions, audio, or video of your participation in the Tournament in any form, manner, venue, media or technology now known or later developed for any and all purposes, including, without limitation, for purposes of trade, advertising, and promotion as Sponsor and its licensees or assignees determine, without further compensation, notification, or permission. Slivko + Revolver vs some terrans looked so sloppy on zerg side. It looked way worse than 1v1 on pro level...

^ Yea people need to learn how to cooperate in Archon mode. The most successful teams will likely not be Life and Rogue or Taeja and Maru, but lesser players who practice this mode together so well they become joined at the hip.

Each team has individual players' ESL accounts linked to it

What's the format for offline finals? Only 6 teams, 2 more being invited or some weird format?
Also, is it 2 teams qualify for Washington from the offline event?

Redbull Veto Process Correction
Over the first 2 cups there was some confusion on how vetos were suppose to be done properly. It has now been cleared up by Redbull here is now the corrected map veto process:

The higher seeded team chooses to act as Team A or Team B. Each team gets 3 vetos in the following order: ABBABA. This leaves 1 map remaining and will be the first map played. For each subsequent map the loser of previous map picks with winner getting to veto 1 map.

I just saw the last game, but I don't think we can talk balance when one team do a big mistake like building the wrong building the first 3 min of the game. I mean, they are two people playing and it's not a lot of micro or other action going on, how can they miss like that?

Cyclones,Liberators,Thor,Vikings,Hellion,Tanks, etc basically everything was used gain advantage tactically. It was pretty cool. I think part of it was because of Archon mode. Hard to play like that by 1 person. The most important thing is that liberators kinda change the dynamic of mech vs mech in TvT I think.

Haha, please someone explain me the logic in the seeding of this tournament. Last 2 times my team was seed #1 and I got to semifinals almost every time. It's totally different this time with Taeja being seed #1 even if he didn't participate in any of the tournaments :D

Kind of demotivating when you enter a tournament and try your best every time while a guy that didn't touch lotv until now gets seed number 1.
