Catz didn't off-race when he and Hydra played in the Basetrade 2v2 tournament, don't think he will here. Unless I'm missing something?

I admit I missed the previous BaseTrade installments. I just don't think ZZ is a strong team comp, and I know Catz is capable of such a thing (as is Nerchio).

I don't play quite on the same level, but sometimes I've gone SH-Hydra and my friend has gone Muta-Ling, and we just mutually push across the map with shitloads of static D and the creep spread of an unusual number of auxiliary queens. It also has the strength of mass lings in the early game, which can deal with Hellions if you share unit control and always have one person babysitting the lings instead of macroing at all times. I haven't gotten the mid-game to work out terribly well though. Usually when we reach the late game, it's because we dealt damage early on (as very much intended) so the opponents had to dedicate time and resources in the midgame to rebuild. It's probably the composition I fear most in the very early game, as a Zerg player myself.

i'm loving that there is an open bracket qualifier. i predict qualified teams to stomp the invites except for the koreans myb and thats exactly why u need an open bracket. to let the best 2v2 teams (whoever that may be) be able to participate! everyone who knows 2v2 will also know which race combinations will show out on top and which will have a hard time. the map pool is nice except for sacred path. that map will get veto'd alot. plz let there be vetos and dont force anyone to play a map that is imbalanced for their specific race combo that said, let the team game madness begin!
