no Preservation in the map pool?
|
On February 15 2015 01:59 Ej_ wrote: no Preservation in the map pool? from my experience that map isnt made for exciting games. frost is kinda favoring early aggression (typical for non-shared base maps) because it easily forces a 2v1 situation if only one guy decides to macro a bit because he cant help his partner gettin rekt by double 1base push then. same could be said about sacred path. dno how long the rocks actually give u time tho. w/e im fine as long as there are at least some macro maps in the pool. the last tourney showed how often rushes got denied on the bigger maps and the cheesy team quite often got shit on. the rush maps are usually a bit coinflip tho. because bo wins happen more often when cheese is favored i think. especially for unexperienced 2v2 players. but thats just my guess. i'll enjoy it either way o/

If MMA and Ryung end up resorting to cheeses, that would put the cream cheese icing on a red velvet cake.

MMA and Ryung? Impact too busy being banished to dish duty to team up again?
|
could you please consider using this? + Show Spoiler + it should be up on all regions as Dune Trenches

Now that I look at it again, I really like it. The main is great, with the two small ramps that are closer to each other for the attacker than for the defender. Can be interesting rush situations with wall in. And the open middle and bases seem to allow for a lot of harassment. Then again, I am platinum and probably have no idea what I am talking about.

Also, being a non blizzard map, it is not stuffed full with destructible rocks until it overflows, which must be a great relief for any player.

Posting for Team BigBoys - Parting & Sacsri

Late sign up (Brackets will be redrawn) Team Honey Jam - Journey & Rain
|
Journey and Rain?! Yes please! Definitely gonna have to watch now
|

the maps arent that great. They are ok though. Would like to see other maps like dune trenches and the new blizzard 2v2 maps.

PARTING IS A MOTHER FUCKING GOD
|
rofl um Rain & Journey... their team name doesn't actually mean Honey Jam XD "Kkool jem" is short for "Fun as Honey" or i guess super fun? idk it doesn't translate accordingly XD

let's go taeja and revival
|
the only way taeja and revival lose this is if taeja doesnt make a lot of vikings
|
Large 2vs2 battles between high-level players are so fun to watch.
|
I've been more engaged and interested in this tournament then most sc2 content nowadays.
Its' nice to have something fresh and action-packed.
I hope you continue it!
|
revival mvp in this tournament
taeja and revival both so good tho

Roach-bio turns out to be pretty good.

Watching now the EU firendly Rebroadcast. Really want to see more 2v2 action.
Viewers love it.
The Koreans like to play it (with very cool teams)
2v2 gonna make gaem alive.
|
PLEASE MOAR TEAM GAMES IN SC. im sorry for caps, but how is that not exciting? Good job Rifkin
|
this is why SC2 needs more attention to 2v2

Was it good? I only caught parts of it, but from what I saw it was pretty entertaining. iirc Gumi/Choya went for some sort of aggressive mass reaper + phoenix combo, while Heart went marine/mine (?) and Crank one base stalkers. Then the aggression got repelled and the Axiom guys won.

I'm finally through watching the whole tournament in the 'past broadcasts' section ( http://www.twitch.tv/basetradetv/v/3798433 <-- 4k views doesnt seem too shabby considering it was rebroadcasted aswell no?)
the parting 1v2 was pretty epic. also revivals all over the place roaches and taeja totally wrecking havoc with every single unit was really fun to watch.
i was anticipating korean level 2v2s since 4 years now. (congratz TB for going full cpt obvious btw)
i am following the higher level 2v2 scene since the very beginning but top korean level 2v2s are really something else. its just awesome! so fuck hell keep up the good work :D (well, actually there has been ONE kinda similar event http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_MLG_Pro_Circuit/Spring/Arena_1/2v2_Tournament but look at that date! :p)
PS: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Two_vs_Twournament_V2.2
so actually only the foreigners and the champions of the last tourney (team axiom) were able to take a single map off the dominating winners (taeja & revival). i would've really liked to see that ro16 match tbh. the clash of korean gosuness and foreign 2v2 players is generally interesting from my pov

Just arriving at the final in the VOD now! Great tournament!
