You can't blame him, he's exhausted. Like I said, really bad time for a qualifier in Korea. The main thing is he qualified and got his flight paid for him which is a huge deal for us.

Just thought he was in a good position with 3/3 on the way to just hold out a little longer. But the main thing is the flight rather than the $100, of course.

I just find saying someone is tired is a bad excuse for playing poorly (despite the fact Impact was not playing poorly and was 2nd place). These tournaments take a whole day, everyone is tired. Unless he just came off the back of another tournament, he had time to prepare. He played excellently and did a good job regardless ![]()

Players have lives and families, you can't just flip your sleeping schedule around and around and around at will. I'm sure he did take a nap but a nap isn't enough to give you 10 hours of endurance. The fatigue took an obvious toll as you saw with that muta control mistake which resulted in his entire muta ball getting killed. It's fine though, the qualification is what mattered. He wanted to put on a good showing against Polt and he did, I think if the mutas hadnt died he'd have won that game, he had the superior economy and his 3/3 was well on the way. He'll get a chance at revenge at the event. I just find saying someone is tired is a bad excuse for playing poorly That's weird, because it's maybe the most legitimate excuse for any SC2 player playing poorly. It sucked for Symbol as well, the qualifier is setup at a time which makes life difficult for the Koreans living in SK, but ideal for those that moved to Europe for WCS and such.

Polt is on a Korean(ish) sleep schedule currently. So, while yes, the timing of the qualifier is very unfortunate for Korean participants, conditions weren't ideal for Polt either. Great series regardless. Congratulations to both players who qualified.

I don't particularly make excuses for the players unless something terrible happens (Mouz kicks Dear before his match, sC's lung collapses again, etc.). It's just the inevitability of competition. Sometimes you lose all your luggage and have to play with a random keyboard and mouse. Other times you get off a plane with jetlag and then go through a 3 day marathon like Leenock at MLG and play 10-14 hours a day to get back into the finals. In Mvp's case he has to fight with a broken body. It's something I acknowledge as the reality of competition. Do I think Polt is tired too? Yes. Do I think he's more tired than Impact? Probably not. Does that take away from Polt's victory? No. When Polt won his consecutive WCS NA title, he was playing SC2 10 hours a day, went to school and had a part time job. According to him in his interview with Wax, he was sleeping 4 hours for months on end. So does that excuse Polt from losing to sOs at Blizzcon? No. But you have to acknowledge that the lack of sleep was probably getting to Polt. It just happens. SC2 is too bloodthirsty in competition and players too widespread. If you get ideal play conditions, that's great, but if you don't? Well you're shit out of luck. This is just how it goes.

for the three qualifiers there are for RBBG Global , I think they should have use 3 different starting time, for AM, Europe and KR

You can't exactly have people stay up just for KR and EU region either. What about all the NA players that were trying out but knocked out early in the tournament? It's a global qualifier and so there will always be time zone problems. It's just that it affects different people. Having said that, do I like the idea of global qualifier? Yes and no. I think it would be better if there was two NA qualifiers, one EU qualifier, one KR/TW/CN qualifier, and one or two global qualifiers. That way, players can possibly play at a better time and not have to play in the wee hours like Impact or all the other players that were affected by fatigue.
