It's not like roach/hydra is a bad strategy or something.

because they couldn't make Roach/Hydra cost efficient against deathball
Why do protoss get a basic air unit with auto-moving shot thats faster and strongerthan all other basic air units and can harass and take important units out of a fight?
Because they couldn't balance gateway units.

CranK dat Notorious P.i.G
Awesome to see PiG finally showing his stuff. PiG is really, really good at the preparation style of play. If there's an obstacle he can't overcome he trains up until he can. Example being iaguz would absolutely destroy him at every tournament last year...but then PiG just worked tirelessly on his ZvT until iaguz couldn't touch him.

Viva la foreigners. Viva la SEA!
Are we back to cheering for Foreigners to win even though we know the style they are using is abusing an obviously bad design?
I thought we learned our lesson from the Infestor/Broodlord days.
No one should be cheering for this. The fact that foreign Zergs can beat Korean Protoss players with this kind of play is just additional evidence to how broken it is.

Vindicare it's not like Crank is Rain or Dear. That's said this style is retarded, but PiG has controlled well and defended well thus far

I'm not saying he is, but the point still stands.
We shouldn't be cheering for players to win JUST because they are foreigners especially when they are abusing crap like this.

It creates such boring and drawn out games. Shouldn't the objective with HotS have had the opposite in mind? Can you please tell me your master plan of defeating late game/skytoss without them? SH is simply a symptom. where is this "swarm hosts counter skytoss" thing coming from? strictly speaking swarm hosts are the counter to templar tech. vipers counter colossus with abduct, templar counter vipers with feedback, swarm host counter templar by zoning them out. skytoss midgames are countered with queens to tank damage and infestors to fungal clumped air units. the static defense turtle style is something that zergs just figured out they could abuse and started doing because there's no drawback to it. yes, zvp lategame is a clusterfuck. protoss lategame deathballs are ridiculous. so is swarm host/static d. it's a design problem. but that doesn't make swarm hosts more fun to watch or for protoss to play against Z AA is so bad that you need a lot of stuff to kill anything. If you go queen and investor and toss has some ground units you die. That means you have to have ground units and static D. When toss reaches late game death ball roaches will melt like nothing and all of your investors/queens will die after that. Without SH zerg can still make static D and cam behind it but has no chance to denie toss expansions. what you said simply isn't correct. roach/hydra/queen/infestor is 100% capable of beating a skytoss push. what part of "skytoss" do you think swarm hosts are necessary to fight? obviously if protoss keeps turtling you have to trade out your roach/hydra, that's how the game works.
carriers and tempests are countered in the lategame using a mixture of vipers, corruptors and infestors, and void rays die to queen/infestor plus corruptors, hydras or whatever unit you make for DPS. that's one of the reasons crank lost that game, because carrier/tempest/void ray isn't as strong as ground-based colossus/templar deathballs. the only reason protoss try skytoss against swarm hosts/static d is out of desperation and creativity, it's not because it's the ultimate protoss composition. the ultimate protoss composition is on the ground.

If it was Idra/stephano I would always cheer for them no matter the style they used.
l cheered for the zerg even still during infestor/BL days.

Although I very much dislike defensive swarm host play, I've actually enjoyed these games because of how well PiG has played for the most part, better than some good Korean Zergs even

PiG can you just six pool or something I need some sleep.

Nice showing how the composition can be aggressive too and not just turtley in game 2.

Seems like PiG had a lapse when he lost all those swarm hosts. Crank should have never "come back" (if you can call being 80 supply behind a comeback)
