because of this sh/viper-combo i stopped playing/watching sc2. it makes every PvZ lategame so boring to watch... the zerg chips away from the protoss until the protoss has to gg out.

you say, that zerg needs to build anti-ground units to defend against air units?

Yes, those scenarios where neither side can really engage always make for games like this. Can't really blame any guy, they are playing to win not to show good games (although they might say something along those lines :D )

One has to be so dumb to blame RorO for anything.

If I weren't playing a game on the other screen, I would have surely fallen asleep.

It's hard to kill either Zerg or Protoss in the midgame, and at the same time in the lategame the armies are so monstrously efficient that they don't want to rush the fight because it can swing one-sidedly one way very fast. Terran doesn't have that problem ("problems" :D), you're pretty much forced to trade units (at least with bio) all game. TvZ ultra late game with "air terran" is straight up unbeatable for zerg lol It turns into the same kind of awful scenario, mass spores + Vipers + Swarmhosts + anti-air (Queens/Corruptors/infests). And unfortunately, Blizzard confuses mech with air, so they will wrongly promote this kind of stale scenario. I feel like they've painted themselves into a corner lol. If they buff mech at all then that transition becomes so much easier to achieve

Avilo is the only one in the world (except goody) capable of turtling for that long without losing his mind Fools don't know about my Reality.
At least the air Terran has to spread out over 1-2 screens in order to dominate. This Protoss air is basically clumping up and hoping that the abducts aren't on something good.

No, I personally liked the game.

But that'd be way better with SH moving instead of sitting there. That's the thing missing from these games. I dont know how blizzard can force the players to always be moving with their swarmhosts.
SH zones out templars. Templars feedback vipers. Vipers + Corruptors try to snipe key units. Infestors punish bad positionning. Void rays are the ultimate threat.
That's fun to watch. Could be way better with "always on the move" swarmhosts.

And also I highly doubt that in late game an unit with an attack who get affected by armor 8 times is more cost effective than an unit who has an attack with massive or armored bonus damage.

Let's be realistic. That was a shitty game. I don't mean unskilled because there were clearly a lot of nerve-racking army adjustments, but surely there was more they could do and surely Stats could have avoided that situation altogether. 5000+ minerals not being used, constant awkward dodging around to avoid fungals, feedbacks etc and due to supply limits and army choices, there were very few sneaky attacks from other sides, warp prism drops, DT etc. That one burrowed roach stopped that base too easily. There was some other point about the play too now that I've forgotten. *Grumble* That was just a really crappy way for we balls of steel anti-RorOs to get hit hard.

His two options are turtle into win, or lose basically. RorO seems to be a sejong research station specialist. That build only works on that map because of the short distance and the relative horizontal narrowness of the map making it difficult to backstab the turtling zerg. Stats could have won if he kept up the multi-prong harass instead of transiting into the late game scenario.

Thats a good point but I think also teams seem to send out almost any P they have while T and Z players are usually the best of their race in that team.
