Funny that Blizzard wanted to encourage both WM and ST to be used in TvZ but with the WM nerf they just phased out both units. Bio/Hellbats/Thors works fine with the lead he had, but I don't think he would use it against straight lings/banes/mutas in an even game. I've seen Forgg use the same comp, but i figured it was his style since he uses hellbats in TvP as well, but maybe it's something new catching on.

Was it that simple ? Felt weird for fast techlab. Hellbat vs roach was kind of surprising for me too. Why not more marauders ?
Was it because of mutas ? Because mutas would mean ling/bling ?

Funny that Blizzard wanted to encourage both WM and ST to be used in TvZ but with the WM nerf they just phased out both units. I thought we still saw a ton of parade pushes? I was talking more about composition, not tactics. Yes we saw a lot off parade pushes, but with no WM and definitely no tanks. When I said parade push I meant WMMMM. I think it can't be separated from the strategy as the WMs allow you to hold large amounts of terrain. I'm no Terran expert which is why I ask questions all the time, but I am pretty sure that TvZ seems like it has a lot of the same parade pushes after the WM nerf as before it. Yes, the widow mine pushes are still really common, only difference is they add a thor or 2 now.

Parade pushs are nearly extinct, basically the rally until death only occurs when Terran has secured a large advantage before for some reason.

Forgg has some bad TvZ though. I've seen Gumiho and Supernova also use it last year in a few games, but that was it.

hellbat marauder thor is terrible just letting you ppl know it was good that game beacause he delay the 4th all game long but if z get 4 base that shit gets overrun by muta baneling
|
Regarding the Hellbat switch, wasn't it just happening as Savage was going into muta/ling/bling?

iirc, ForGG stated that his TvZ has gotten a lot better.

He started the hellbats after he saw Savage switching to mutalisks, zerglings and banelings. Maybe he really plays hellbats against that kind of play of zerg, but I wouldn't interprete too much into it. It may just be Flash thinking that it is easier to end a game with hellbat/MMM instead of MMMM when you have a huge lead. Or maybe he was thinking that Savage could switch back into roaches, in which case hellbats are better than mines as well.
|
On that game, after beating the roach push, Flash felt like building anything like hellbats.

Got to say, the fans of the teams cheering at the start of the matches are one of the best things in Proleague. That shit is loud when you're there.
