To make sure Drones/lings can't transfer through cannon fire in the early game. It's hard to get a cannon that covers the ramp that cannot be reached from a queen on the high ground though. If you can, I think it's very good.

both lol. For example, Jaedong attacked with half his army when he denied JYP's 4th(with the other half or so) leading to him pretty much losing 30-40 supply for a couple of stalkers at best then he went Broodlords on akilon which while doable, is a problematic idea due to map distance. At one point, he allowed JYP to move out of the base and even attack his 3rd although JYP did lose 2 colossi due to vipers(or maybe it was one). Also, Jaedong seems to be stuck in the whole, try to kill or wear them down with roach+hydra+viper then switch into mass mutas (or something like that). I've seen him doing it a lot vs P. It's not a bad idea tbh and it's his style but if the protoss player is ready, it gets countered hard by phoenixes and stalkers. Case in point: Jaedong vs sOs first game on akilon as well. sOs holds on somehow, misreads Jaedong and makes phoenixes then eventually a base trade happens and sOs was ready for the mutas switch since he had 6 phoenixes+mass stalkers. I think it's happened before as well and late game(at least 3 bases), most protoss can wrap in 9-10 stalkers which would have more upgrades then mutas and blink so it's less effective. I think Jaedong should do more busts, all ins and just different styles since he's becoming predictable in some cases(imo). On the other hand, JYP screwed up the cannon rush but that was JD making a good read imo. He took a fast third and did a decent prism wrap ins but he needed a lot more. His control was pretty decent as well but he was stuck to three bases and Jaedong did a good job of maintaining some form of contain.

You'd probably have to put down the first pylon in different places than people usually do to make sure you'd be able to put down a more forward cannon. But I think Bel'shir would be possible to do it on. Frost probably, too.
