There is a bit confusion about when the 3rd place match is taking place it seems. It is not 11:25 CET and it hasn't started, because there is a break for food or something like that.

It's not finished yet. But what is happening is that Aphrodite only plays mech and gets owned by zergs with decent skills.

Maybe she is making a point for Blizzard about mech. Not sure if DK is watching this tournament. But yeah, she is way to one dimensional for a BoX play

To be frank, I don't feel like David Kim would be interested in this tournament for balance evaluations..
And the third place decider is over; kaitlyn wins 3-2 over Aphrodite.

This is hardly the first time she's lost in female tournaments. DaSakura, Scarlett, Flo, Colagirl, SsQ have all taken maps off of her (and Bo3s in the case of DaSakura and Scarlett).
Aphrodite just looks dominant in Korean female tournaments because she has no competition.

She needs to diversify her play style a bit. I dont see why a girl with 200 APM couldn't play bio + mine. That is Polt level APM if I am not mistaken. She plays like she is super slow so she has no other chance except for going mech.

Probably because she copied her style from Startale Rainbow back in Wings of Liberty. She's been going mech for like...two years (and also used to have closer to 100 APM):

Indeed, she was never that good IMO. Maddelisk also stated that she wasn't impressed by her!
Nice! Apparently Maddelisk is the strongest female sc2 players in the world, by far. So nice winning streak. Wow. :D Congratz!
Also it would be nice to focus more on the games in these threads and not reducing the players to their appearance. So many pictures here, it's hilarious (and sexist).

Pretty happy with this tournament. kaitlyn lived up to the hype. Akane lived up to the hype. Maddelisk showing Scarlett-level dominance in probably one of the harder fields in a female tournament, going 13-0. I'm now starting to think Maddelisk can't be far from hitting GM; although I suppose we only saw her ZvZ, which is her best matchup.

Forgetting a certain Canadian?
I'd also be curious to see Maddelisk vs Livibee. Livi is GM Sea, Masters KR, and has been tearing through open brackets in the Australian scene lately. But SEA is the weakest server, and Australian open brackets are probably easier than open brackets in EU.

well kaitlyn beat livibee on stream in the past with macro games and holding off her cheese so i feel like maddelisk would win.

Because no SC2 qualifier for the USA (no qualifier in 2012 either). On the page listing the members of IeSF, if you click on United States, it goes to http://www.wogl.org/, which is a dead URL now. After the 2011 IeSF qualifier, WOGL had done close to nothing related to SC2 anyway.
