i dont understand the logic of signing up for a tournament if all you're gonna do is throw games when it will benefit a teammate the first chance you get.

It was almost 2 years ago and I believe it was a European tournament. They did not like the chance to face whoever they will meet in the next round if they would win or something, was the speculation.
Edit: I think it was played on Terminus RE.
It was Stephano vs Bratok BC rush vs proxy hatch in one of the games on Testbug

Crank vs Alicia PvP Crank GGs slightly pre-mature in Game 1, 3Gate vs 3 Gate.
Game 2...Crank kills like 9 probes with 3 gate pressure. Lost 2 pylons in Alicia's base but could have easily transitioned to a macro game. GG's after his pylon is about to die with even armies. Despite being way ahead.
Wow, really ?
That's match fixing ! Crank should be penalized for that. Not only Jim got caught in a bad position (Alicia not revealing his builds), but the RO32 players were injured too. Crank used his privilege position to just benefit his teammate.
If you look at Alicia's play in the first game he clearly wasn't part of any "match fixing". You don't open 2 gate stargate against 3 gate and cancel the stargate to stick on 2 gates.
Leaving that first game isn't too unrealistic, Alicia held and maybe he thought he the stargate was still up for some reason, or he was behind in gas and probes. That is debatable. But that second game looks really bad...
Remember when they were on Slayers and they would intentionally pick each other for group play? Now it has gone to throwing matches. Disappointing as all hell.
