Umm didn't Catz straight up forfeit to Kane? That's significantly different

No difference, Crank basicly forfait his will to win, same as probe rushing or playing with one hand....

There's a massive difference.

Think about it guys. I know they're on the same team, but this is an individual event.

There's no motivation for any one player to throw a game unless he's already eliminated. Clearly this is not the case here.

Probably wasn't liking his chance against Jim and threw game two, let Alicia try his luck.

I think game one was just an Idra GG. Poor choice, thought that he was done once he failed the attack. Game two was a whatever, all yours Alicia.

I agree with this. Still makes them look fishy though.

yes it is, what crank did is disrespectful to the viewers. forfeiting a match is completely acceptable because its the players tourney life thats on the line, he has the right to make that call.

the difference is with Catz/Kane its 100% confirmed match fixing. There is no other explanation. With Crank/Alicia, can you really prove it?

It isn't match fixing. Match fixing requires there to be a match to fix the result. Catz quit the tournament. Yes in theory it creates the same end, it isn't the same thing

Don't compare it to Catz, compare it to CoCa and Byun, who got banned for pulling matchfixing.
If you don't like it, you can quit.

Crank is team captain and some people have commented on how Crank has been spending a lot of his time managing axiom (I have no idea if they actually know what they are talking about). If they believe that Alicia is the better player, has more need of tournament experience and has greater potential in the longer term, then it makes sense.

EDIT: Actually the Catz/Kane situation proves that one may want a player to advance over a playing captain, as it was confirmed that this was exactly what happened then. Personally I don't believe either action should be accepted, but basically attempting to deceive the tournament and viewers is in my opinion much worse than straight up forfeiting.

well, the way i looked at catz's loss. if you're a full time player and can't even beat your own team manager, then u really dont deserve to move on.

nah, the first game wasn't obvious, but the second? didn't he see how many probes he killed on lowground? obvious throw, should be penalized imo; even the smile after game, Crank didn't look tilted at all

Dude, there is no benefit for throwing a match in this situation.

1. It's not like Crank is already eliminated.

2. All three players are P. It's not even a match-up thing. There no advantage gained by throwing the match.
