His control, multitasking and most importantly positioning make him such a tough nut to crack. Most Protoss could have done that exact game rain just played, at least the ones in Korea. Most korean protoss easily have the mechanics to play that style. In fact, going for any aggression as protoss can be more taxing mechanically. He literally sat in his base just macroing up, never had to defend against any drops because his build was airtight with the late 3rd base. Is that why Rain was the only protoss to win a PvT in Ro32?

If you can't accept that Rain is a spectacular player then I have no clue how you watch any StarCraft. Somethings are more about decision making than clicking back and forth a lot of shift queuing. But you're right there were a ton of protoss players in the WCS KR Ro8.

Which is why Maru if he wants to win here needs to force Rain into something by taking an earlier third or by hitting him hard early neglecting upgrades. If he lets Rain tech to both techs freely then Rain can devote all his focus to his army, and he's really good with late game armies. It was a great game nonetheless

Honestly I don't see Rain being broken here. He made Protoss look OP there. Ahem.... But seriously, Maru has a tough road to climb, Rain isn't the greedy player Innovation is, and it's clear from that game that Rain is favoured if they go toe-to-toe. That said I expect Maru to successfully cheese, or macro gamble his way to at least one win this series, so 4 -1 Rain is my prediction

It isn't hard to guess that something like that is coming when you see a Terran take two early gasses and then a late expansion. if you aren't immediately scouting around or chronoing out an obs you are doing it wrong.

Well, First won in Ro16. But then Ro32 was full of Zergs, so that's pretty shitty statistics.
