You enjoy games with one deciding battle and no action beforehand? That game was the equivalent of the board game MouseTrap. You spend time setting it up, you move around the board, but really you don't care about any of that. You just want to see the trap go off. And then you're done with the game.

This is like me going, 'OMG SC2 HAS 25,000 PEOPLE WATCHING THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP! DOTA2 ONLY HAD LIKE 2,000!' when the finals happen at Blizzcon this year.

No Maru eventually got 2-3 ghosts out but they were killed by feedbacks almost as soon as they appeared.

Maru not being greedy enough and not harassing Rain with multi-prong attacks. He had warp prisms out on the map, single harrass/scout zealots to 3rd/4th base locations and moved his army in front of his base so Maru couldn't get a good position there. He was not just sitting in his base, he just didn't go for a timing attack. He was playing a perfect standard maco style.

If you don't think it is, it's because you are understanding at a higher level. The average joe doesn't care about things not dying. Yes but it is not always the case... TvZ with bio+ widow mine against ling bane muta has tons of back and forth engagements when terran tries to kill the 4th.. But yes TvP macro games are incredibly boring to watch, especially if you have somebody like Rain in it.
