Wow, so happy for Maru. Just watched the games and I must say Maru gets in their heads. Not a total domination like against Innovation, but when he established his grip on Rain he didn´t let go anymore. It must be so stressful to play against that Kid.

Also he had quite a run to the title, going through:
- Effort
- sOs
- Trap
- Supernova
- Symbol
- Innovation
- Rain

Very well deserved victory.

Thank you so much Maru for beating this smug Rain. There are occasions when Rain said eSF players are "easy", and only Flash, Innovation, Soulkey are worthy of being his opponents. Guess who is easy now Rain? Reverse sweep np.

Don't recall Rain saying that.
I do recall his SKT teammate soO calling Prime an "easy team", though.

After First roflstomped Fantasy, Rain in his interview said that First's style is easy (then he proceed to be 2-0ed by First). In his interview before Bomber match, he said something along the line of only Flash, Innovation, Soulkey are difficult opponents (the way he said it is more humble, but we know what he meant by that ).

There's nothing wrong with being a bit cocky, it's not like he's being like Naniwa, trash talking players and even trash talking fans. ;/

If he had gone for being cocky Parting style then it would have been fun. But he was humble and serious all the way.

You know the funniest part about Maru's run to championship? soO saying that Prime players are 'easy' and backing up that claim :D

Maru played ok but Rain was still looking better. Rain losing was really anticlimatic imo.

No. Rain played far worse than Maru. You can already see that from the score. Also the games he won Game 1: Go to look game 4 they are exact same games, but Maru didn't fall 2 times for his warp prism play
Game 2: Kinda mehh strategy from Maru (also nice defence from Rain)

adding the second starport instead of ghost academy costed Maru game1 in the end. This was the deciding factor, despite Rain doing some damage with his Warp Prisms here. Early second Starport allways falls short against that tech transition from Protoss.

I'm pretty sure each player had every single strategy planned out for each map before the series even started. They then went on to practice that exact strategy and build hundreds of times on that map. Maru didn't just hap hazardley say, "well I'm down 0-2 I better 2 rax". I'm quite certain even if he was up 2-0 he would be doing the exact same strat. Likewise for Rain planning his immortal bust and dt play BEFORE the series even started.

This isn't ladder people. Nothing is done hap hazardly or on the spot. You definitely aren't going to do a strat you never practiced consistently.

Maru said in his interview that he 2rax in game 3 because he felt it at that moment. Could be a false statement, but unlikely. Esf players are not like their kespa opponents, they are use to boX matches and ladder practice while kespa players tends to prepare strategies for specific map throughout theirs years of training.

Twitch been acting weird for a few days, now seems to work fine though.

Finally be able to watch intro, and it's funny how Rain is like Thumb down!.... then 30 sec later still like Thumb down... then 2 min later is still in same pose and he looks like thinking "omg this is dumb, and I'm getting tired".
