He tried to attack Maru in wide open ground and tripped his templar micro.
Rain was virtually maxed before the pivotal engagement had even happened, had already secured a third and was taking a fourth. The ground wasn't that wide open, and regardless Maru had absolutely no room to even consider flanking. There was nothing wrong with his attack timing, though he should have probably gone for Maru's fourth once Maru's ghosts came out. Unfortunately Rain clumped his units along with every single HT on the map stuck in the middle of his ball. Maru landed the clutch EMP's, pounced on Rain, and bopped him for it as any good Terran would.

Oh WOW....can't believe Maru won. GGs. :O

game 7 is voted on so other people dont get spoiled

There was a lot of hate going on at the beginning of the season, but I think they nailed it with a production Ro16 on. I loved how the event was produced, I loved the Chobra segments and I have huge respect for Doa and Monte, cause they can cast two games at once on the highest level. Also, I loved Anaconda, imo it was the best map in map pool - I hope it will get used more as it produced a lot of very different games then normal. Anaconda gets a lot of hate because a lot of people consider it 'gimmicky'. I thought OSL was okay. Not quite all out production-wise but still really good. The player intros and hype videos were disappointing except for a few, though. Yea, Anaconda is too gimmicky, we need more "straight-up macro maps", like Atlantis Spaceshi tp Atlantis Spacebear, Calm before the storm, Terminus RE, Whirlwind, Star Station, Red City, Delta Quadrant lololol Actually Anaconda is bigger than all of those maps except Star Station Hahaha Atlantis, calm and terminus were awesome...in their own strange way.

Just finished watching the series. Game 2 was the best game, by far.
Overall an underwhelming series. Especially for an OSL finals. Such is SC2.
Watching it in Korean helps, though.

Well he won the first game very decisively using this strategy and the game on starstation he didnt lose to SCV pulls he just took a very bad engagement... His defensive style has tailored to head into a lategame has been his backbone, and his success rate using that specific strategy is much greater than Maru's, so in that regards he is the better player. Of course you're not automatically the best if you mastered ONE style, but you'd expect him to use the style he is comfortable with when he is behind instead of immortal or dt all ins.
So not sure why you're so bitter.

Saw Idra's tweet last night while I was out and got sad. Quite happy from the results.

In game 1 Rain did damage thanks to his prism (and good defense against dropships). In game 4 and 6, Maru learn to defend Warp prism and didn't try to attack too much with medivac. I saw Maru improve in the serie, not Rain really falling.

big difference between game 1 and 4? Maru got a 2nd Starport in game 1 very early. This lead to very late ghosts. Maru could develope a healthy ghoust count early on in game 4 and defended the harass better. These factors made the difference. Rain did overall not so much different in those 2 games.

Will Maru change his name to Optimus ??

Why? He only sees things as they will be in the future, it's not like he causes them... Because he spoils the results of a match before it even happens... :[

Finally watched the games. It was a really boring series. At least I can be happy for prime getting a win but this felt worse to watch then the hyun ZvZ gls finals.
