Because Polt was the only T to win vs P in WCS in like two weeks (apart from 1 series vs Minigun). I think best TvPer is either Polt or Gumiho. Innovation... he's awesome ofc, but I wouldn't call him a TvP specialist, just overall good. Innovation seemed to be the only one who doesn't pull SCV though. No he does. I specifically remember at least 3 games where he pulled SCVs in the midgame to win. Artosis described it as, knowing he was just far enough ahead to go for the killing blow. Nothing cheesy about it. Just goes to show what a little bit of good o'l caster bias does to a player's perception of a strategy. Innovation doesn't cheese, he does strategic timing attacks AKA "a player I like cheesing" Also didn't he 11/11 Soulkey in the last finals as well? Pretty hilarious fanboyism there. Innovation doesn't cheese, he uses exquisitely tuned timings to exploit the ebb and flow of the game and the weaknesses of his opponent in a game that rewards godlike play such as his Which is why he got owned by Maru He does cheese from time to time, but he has more to offer than just that and seems like Maru has not (at least not TvP) This is such shit. Maru did not get this far by just cheesing. He dominated the hell out of Symbol in macro games and won through his group mostly on Macro games also. His only victory through cheesing was Innovation, and let's be honest here with how greedy Innovation played that series he fucking deserved what he got. Maru is being totally disregarded in this thread, his level of play is at the highest I've ever seen from the kid. His making it this far was no fluke and it definitely wasn't because he didn't deserve it.
First of all, I didn't say he exclusively cheesed his way into the finals. I said it seems like he has nothing to offer in Terran vs Protoss compared to INnoVation - who is without argueing - the better Terran vs Protoss player. INnoVation also wasn't super greedy in the TvTs against Maru, but it seems like you would have to understand the game to know that. He made some questionable decisions that led to defeat and I never argued Maru didn't deserve it.
All I'm saying is that Maru is nowhere near INnoVations level of Terran vs Protoss and I dare to say Terran #1 is INnoVation, you can disagree, you have every right to it, but one series doesn't show it.

safe T vs super safe P into warp prism harass + 1fight failed gaz first hellion/marine/medivac play. 11/11

Even if the games haven't been the best so far, the intro is what we've all been waiting for: players walking/running/jumping around randomly, and eventually staring at each other.

lmfao this is like.. so accurate its hilarious because even though it doesn't say who wins, you can tell just from the description and build of each game

Well if 4 widow mine drop into all of symbols drones are dead is a macro game, your right.
Maru is good. Ro8 finish is in his range. His final run is a fluke. Although I'm not saying he didn't deserve it, because thats bullcrap. But he won't be able to repeat it.

I'm not saying he isn't I know that.
But it's one thing to praise Rain's play and another to bash Maru which is what Naruto and others are doing in this thread.
I mean I get people are salty that he beat Innovation, but they can blame Innovation's greediness for that, don't blame Maru for doing what was working.

The Prime uniform is the popped polo collar, because it's got a huge PRIME on it.

LR threads kill me.
I wish I wasn't so alone in my SC2 watching, I wouldn't have to come here to do it. These threads are so corrosive... BarCrafts surprisingly less social and friendly than you'd think. Best is when you convert friends and have a barcraft at home. It's Ok Kal. TlS season 2 is up on youtube. Almost as good :D i imagine going to a barcraft is really similar to being in a LR thread except when there's a loud drunk idiot you can't ignore him as easily Barcraft is pretty boring when you go alone cause you are the only one interested in SC2 in your group of friends. I did it and I had to guide people thru the games cause it was hard TT wtf But man is it fun when you have someone else of the different race there to chill and enjoy the games with you. Kinda like watching a soccer match with a rival fan. Can be super informative and interesting. or just really cathartic fun bitching/jibing. Nice. I wonder how discussions would be if Bomber was playing and I was there. Not gonna lie. Ever since I connected you as Bomber's number one fan boy I get kinda excited and look for your name in bomber posts. You ever show up at a SoCal barcraft I'll buy you a drink ,and a redbull related shot every time bomber wins (ok not sure about the grammar of that). I might try applying for school in SoCal so I'll remember this! Afterwards we drive to the blizzard campus and angrily protest something. Ok something zergy... Queen range? Hmm, or why Bomber doesn't win more! Maybe add a MULE Morale booster to the units, making them deal infinity damage when bomber uses them!
Careful. If you didn't make them bomber specific, Taeja's gonna finally live up to his potential and destroy everyone.
Vindi You are more than welcome to join!
Meeting people from LR at a barcraft would be pretty cool.

Viewer numbers are never going to be amazing when you have all regions finals on the same weekend (even without Ti3), its way to hard to watch it all.

I hope maru does the build he did in game 2 on this map. I don't want to see him die horribly to storm again with no hope of ever crossing the map from a constant stream of zealots being warped into his bases.

Game 1: Very standard PvT, Rain taking a late third. Maru unable to hold 4 colossus+storm push.
Game 2: Maru harasses with hellions and banshees, does some damage here and there but also loses some SCV to stalker counterattacks. Maru tries to go to 3 bases, dies to stalker counterpressure.
Game 3: Maru wins with 11/11 vs bad stalker micro and no MSC.
