Nothing happened in BL/infestor games. Nothing. With this style there are constant engagements, multi pronged harass, many moving parts in the armies, etc. Stephano's style of doing it is a little slower and dragged out than usual, but it's normally better and even here it's not even remotely similar to the blandness of BL/infestor. all i got out of this post is how dare people have a different opinion then me.

Epic basetrade which TargA seemed to be winning, but Jaedong got out like 15 mutas just before all his bases were killed, and used changelings on the ramp leading up to where he built his last extractor to stop TargA's roaches and hydras while mutas killed them.

His win was a one of kind of thing, it was his unique and unknown style of play together with an excellent run where he was on roll and was hitting every force field. I doubt we'll ever see him win a tournament again ![]()

Doesn't matter if you're on 3 bases against 25 as long as you have this unit composition and the engagements ... no coment. In this game Stephano defended the double pronge attacks perfectly, got the better micro in most engagements and did all the good unit switches (hydras, roaches, swarmhosts, corruptors, infestors, corruptors etc). He was on better upgrades most of the game even tough his opponent went for a quite greedy build (double forge, quick third than 4th). I get it that people fear for a new "BL/infestors era" but this is nothing like it. unless idk..terran got a decent number of ravens or protoss got a decent vortex with archons.

Full on Basetrade on Star Station with Roach/Hydra/Swarm Hosts for Targa against Roach//Swarm Hosts/Muta for Jaedong. TargA has the overwhelming army (up atleast 40 supply), but no mining since Roaches are already in his bases. Jaedong uses most of this bank for 15 desperation mutas and slowly kills the army of Targa, who only had 7 Hydras. Jaedong loses every building but a Hatchery in the upper left corner and has 4 drones scattered across the map (TargAs drones were under attack and none left eventually). Jaedongs last hatch was found and killed, but he built 2 extractors in the corners of the map. Jaedong only had 1 Roach left (killing Targas last drone) and 12 Mutas Jaedong was revealed and Targa send all his units (still under barrage from mutas) to the last extractor. Jaedong quickly puts 10+ Changelings on the ramp leading to the base and blocks every unit while the Mutas kill everything. Jaedong wins with 20 supply against 0 for Targa

Terrans had to build tanks who are terrible against Broodlords and the raven switch was much harder. Vortex meant relying on your opponent making a big mistake (not splitting his units).
