You can certainly argue that Gumiho and Leenock should have been ranked higher, but that's about it.
Most people are just poking for fun.
Anyways, while his MLG was a decent run. Going half-time progamer on NA,being on a solo team, and already dating a girl, i wasn't expecting him to win or do better than Leenock or Gumiho. But sure as hell i didn't expect him to get out before ro16.

my power rankings would have been 1. Gumiho 2. Leenock 3. Polt 4. HyuN 5. MC but Leenock is proving me wrong

Not only is the Super Tournament ancient history in terms of Sc2 he also won it by basically studying his opponents playstyles and then abusing them like crazy.
His playstyle now is the complete reverse of then and the skills he used to win the Super Tournament are not applicable to a weekend LAN style event.
Leenock is the best and most successful weekend LAN style player in Sc2 history.

Jaedong is through, and all is well in the world of Dreamhack.

Because silly Polt fanboys. Indeed. Basically a bunch of totally clueless types decided there was more chance of a guy who plays on NA server and has won one LAN event in his entire career (a B class one too in Assembly) winning over a guy who's won two MLG's, an IPL and made another MLG final and is currently training full time in a Korean teamhouse. Hehe. To those who didn't catch Ysellian's point, Polt has won more than one LAN/offline event. Namely, the GSL Super Tournament ($93,000). And the Assembly tournament was Asus ROG Winter 2012 ($10,000). Here are the rest of his top 3 finishes:

Because silly Polt fanboys. Wasn't it like more than just Fionn who wrote polt as the favorite? I dunno if that was cuz of fanboyism, at least not for the others. Eight writers voted. Six had Polt as #1. One had Hero. One had Gumiho. I am glad everyone is Captain Hindsight currently. Polt was heading into the tournament having wrecked Hero and Creator in HotS and only really losing to Life, the best player in the world, in a close 3-2 series that could have gone either way. But we haven't seen Polt's tournament play since MLG, haven't we? So it alsoways was kind of a long shot and that game versus HerO was back in Beta. He was obviously one of the top players at Dreamhack but he always felt overhyped. I'm still sad he went out so early, I really like watching his games but his play versus Huk and Grubby was just not good enough.
If I had to do a PR right now, I'd still have Polt as #2. Hero's lost every game except PvP in Proleague. MC got bopped out of GSL. Leencok played great ZvZ, but he had serious problems in TvZ and his ZvP is exploitable. Polt has some Bomber syndrome in him. He plays great most of the time, but he does have some consistency problems in always playing at that level. Today was just not his day, that's all.

Super Tournament was not a weekend LAN event.

Polt would have won but Fionn cursed him by picking him #1 IMO.

Last time I checked a certain player named IM_MVP had a WCG, IEM, Blizzcon, and an MLG.
