He cheesed him game 2 and game 3 didn't matter anymore since SaSe was through already. Doesn't say much about PvT... But yeah I see how it's funny to hear

What was that about? And is that kind of language directed towards other players really allowed?

Because silly Polt fanboys. Wasn't it like more than just Fionn who wrote polt as the favorite? I dunno if that was cuz of fanboyism, at least not for the others. Eight writers voted. Six had Polt as #1. One had Hero. One had Gumiho. I am glad everyone is Captain Hindsight currently. Polt was heading into the tournament having wrecked Hero and Creator in HotS and only really losing to Life, the best player in the world, in a close 3-2 series that could have gone either way. But we haven't seen Polt's tournament play since MLG, haven't we? So it alsoways was kind of a long shot and that game versus HerO was back in Beta. He was obviously one of the top players at Dreamhack but he always felt overhyped. I'm still sad he went out so early, I really like watching his games but his play versus Huk and Grubby was just not good enough. So...and what have any of these players shown us? HotS is such a new game that there really isn't a lot of information out there. All we really have right now coming into this weekend is IEM, GSL and MLG with a few online show matches and tournaments thrown in. Yoda isn't here. Life, Flash, and other people dominating Code S aren't here. The only players with actual results in HotS so far in this tournament are Polt, Gumiho and MC. Leenock, while looking great right now, went out in the Ro32 of Code S (albeit a difficult group) and got destroyed by Innovation at MLG.
Don't forget about Oz in PL... It's definitly disappointing to see him go out early, just as Polt, but dont you forget him! :D

Geoff looks like he dropped some weight.

Technically out of all players at the event only Snute had won a LAN HotS event. Don't get to worked up over it, it's just funny that the top spot went out so early.

And to counter-point, Leenock got his ass kicked at the only weekend LAN of HotS he went to. I have no problem with someone saying they would have ranked Leenock over Polt coming into the tournament, but it's silly to see Polt have a few bad games and people treating him like he shouldn't have been ranked in the top twenty.

He played Life better than Flash did. He beat up Creator twice in HotS. He beat up Hero in HotS. This was all after he started going to school and living in America. He won the Super Tournament while living on his own and out of a team house.
You can certainly argue that Gumiho and Leenock should have been ranked higher, but that's about it. Not only is the Super Tournament ancient history in terms of Sc2 he also won it by basically studying his opponents playstyles and then abusing them like crazy. His playstyle now is the complete reverse of then and the skills he used to win the Super Tournament are not applicable to a weekend LAN style event. Leenock is the best and most successful weekend LAN style player in Sc2 history. I would say DRG still takes that title. But I see your point Lol MVP beats either. MLG. Blizzcon. WCG. IEM.

the thing i never liked about Dreamhack (or other tournaments), you shouldn't shut down the mainstream if the day isn't over yet

Why would they turn off the main stream when there are still groups in play.
The concept of "community streams" is nice, but the main stream is where everyone is tuning in by default. Cover your own tournament fully DreamHack!
