You get to be called that when you stay in Code S several seasons in a row, not when you just ended your long stay in Code A with a relatively easy bracket... Anyway, not sure why I am having to explain this. :p It's really common sense.
Ryung and Rain are a relatively easy bracket? Who made it to code S with a harder bracket than he did? Common sense is watching his games to judge his level of skill. The majority of people who do so will agree that he's one of the best terrans in the game right now.

People just want to see Flash play, It's the same with Mvp. Doesn't matter who they are playing. The polls says " what are you looking forward to the most " so I can understand it, but I don't see Bly being competitive at all. Probably a 3-0.

Yep, the expectations are high for flash man. He's showed some impressive play in getting into code s and was very competitive in the last MLG. Also, he showed some awesome play against life in the launch party.
He represents a starcraft broodwar champion that could very well dominate again in SC2. It kinda represents a nostalgic hope for hots in my mind.

Watching Flash play is half the reason I watch Starcraft 2.

Common sense is watching his games to judge his level of skill. The majority of people who do so will agree that he's one of the best terrans in the game right now. Look, I know you're a KT fan(boi), but I never said anything negative about Flash, I didn't state his skill was low, I didn't call him a bad player. I made a conservative estimate of his current skill, which let's face it, is not easy to gauge because we haven't seen him play a lot outside of Proleague. Has be played in Code S yet? No, so it's premature to say how he holds up. If he falls out of Code S instantly, never to return, then you (Edit: General "you", not you specifically, but any "you") look like a tool for jumping to a conclusion without proof. That's why you wait, and you state the minimum level of skill you can apply to him (Or any player). This is what I did, and if you think being a "Code A and above" player is calling someone unskilled, then you're a strange little person - it's the fucking opposite, staying in Code A makes you a great damn player.
But, if what you want is me kissing Flash's ass and saying he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, then that's not something I am willing to do. If you think I insulted him, called him a bad player or understated his skill, then you need to work on your reading comprehension. I said Flash vs Bly will be a bad series because Flash will roll Bly, so I didn't understand why people would vote that as highly as they did. As for you other statements, best terran in the world is... really unfounded so far. Haha, that's such a grandiose statement I am not even sure if you're joking. He's not top 5 or even close, but maybe top 10-15? He won't compare to any terran who's consistently stayed in Code S, and won tournaments from time to time - Flash has done neither of those things yet. But I know you will be likely to overstate his skill since you're a fan, that's perfectly fine. So, let's not have this discussion about how good you think he is, or how good I am willing to estimate his skill at, but know this: I don't dislike Flash, I never said he's a bad player, so if you're looking to protect the honor of his name, you're wasting your energy on me...

I rarely feel this way, because to me watching the players I like play is really stressful. It's always "Oh shit, not sure I can handle this, what if he loses", etc. :D Haha. For example, I don't want to watch Seed/Rain because if Seed loses I will be quite depressed! :p

What the crap are you talking about? You seem to have just randomly decided that I said things which I didn't and then started ranting at me.
"If you think I insulted him, called him a bad player or understated his skill, then you need to work on your reading comprehension."
Evidently I'm not the one who needs to work on his reading comprehension. I said THREE THINGS:
1) He had one of, if not the most difficult code A brackets to make it through. 2) Your assertion that you can only be referred to as code S level if you stay in code S for several seasons in a reason isn't common sense; common sense is watching players play and judging their skill level based on that. 3) Flash is one of the best terrans in the game.
Based on that, you apparently have decided that I've made a ton of assumptions about what you're saying and that I said that Flash is THE best terran in the game. Incidentally, saying that someone is at least code A level when they're better than code A obviously IS saying that they're less skilled than they are. If I said that Life is at least a high masters player then is that a compliment?
As for not understanding why people are looking forward to the match: people enjoy watching players whom they're fans of. Why is this hard to understand?
|
Fine fine, perhaps I was in the wrong. I found your tone aggresive or angry, so I tried to explain myself. My assumptions weren't meant to put words into your mouth, but to reply to as many possibilities as I could in one go, seemed efficient! English is my second language, and I guess I was wrong in this case. So, sorry.

Expecting tomorrow:
HuK 2-3 INoVation (INoVation's TvP isn't that great, and HuK can always pull out something out of his hat that surprises everyone) Sen 3-1 ViBE (Should be a pretty one-sided beatdown honestly, but because ZvZ is volatile, I will give ViBE one game at least) Leenock 3-0 BabyKnight (Yeah, self-explanatory) Rain 3-2 Seed (Hmmm, both are relatively similar imo, but I think Rain is playing better than Seed currently) MKP 3-2 jjakji (I think jjakji will put up one hell of a fight, but MKP will likely reign over him) Ret 3-1 Suppy (Ret showed he can stay relevant in IEM, and I haven't really seen that much from Suppy recently) Flash 3-0 Bly (Flash might be a bit overrated in my eyes, but Bly hasn't been too impressive, while Flash is only improving) PartinG 3-0 State (Same as Leenock vs BK)

Is there really only like 4-5 hours of games tomorrow?

If there's one benefit to having no open bracket, its that I can see all the games now. Can't wait for Huk vs Innovation. That's my most anticipated match. Flash or Innovation will likely win the whole thing. Terran is strongest in hots right now and both of those guys are easily top 5 Terrans right now.
EDIT: The birthday thing is pretty cool. Thanks TL :p

Seems like they're opening it up for a lot of downtime with those allocations for games, though?

Take these with a grain of salt because the stats they are based on are almost pure WoL stats but LRs just seem incomplete without someone posting Aligulac these days and I haven't seen them yet.
