It should have been Mvp.
But even looking at just foreigners, Ret carried the torch just as far as Mana (quarters) and Ret also made it the furthest out of any Zerg (tying with Violet in getting to the quarters). He also had a much, much harder bracket than Mana and beat harder opponents (Group B > Group C). But if it's actually just based on votes, then oh well. More people should have voted for Ret (or Mvp, or whoever... definitely not Mana) Nothing personal against Mana, but I just think popularity contest awards aren't as interesting as awards based on achievements more relevant to the tournament.
Why does it have to be foreigners? :p
Because they're able to mobilize their fanbase through twitter and whatnot.
Well IM players are not allowed to make a twitter before they won a tournament so yea

Yeah. Personally, I don't care which foreigner gets the award, haha, since I'm a Korean elitist, but I too thought Ret seemed to be the most obvious choice. I guess Mana did make it far, but objectively Ret had a better run, and is a member of a popular team.
I think Mana might have got some votes for winning his grudge match against Nerchio.
Ahh, that does make sense, and I guess there's martyrdom in losing to Mvp. It's your tournament being prematurely cut short, so it might feel like he could've made it further in theory.

Amazing, solid, inspirational StarCraft?
For sure but also emotionless, shy and boring. Their coach seems like a cool guy, he needs to give them a few lessons on how to market themselves as players.
This tournament cant be taken seriously...Come on...The best foreigners still much worse than any Code B korean...YoDa is the only Code S player and won...What did you expect?? Where are First,Mvp,Yonghwa,viOLet and Dream? Code B or less. The bad side of this is how bad are foreigners...The only Stephano tried something in Korea and is now Code S,but lets see how far is he going to reach...

Considering Yoda's smile near the end he was first too much focused on the tournament, then overwhelmed by actually winning, and once that was gone he could finally relax and be happy.

Really? You think you would look like that in an award ceremony...?

Considering my very shy nature, i would look even more akward on that stage actually.

If you've never been on stage before, odds are, you'll look even more awkward than that. It's a pretty different experience.

I'd rather sick games and awkward ceremonies
Haha, the other choice is bad games and awkward ceremonies. Because Koreans always win, people think the awkwardness is their fault, but seriously, the ceremonies themselves are badly orchestrated, and the foreigners are just as nerdy on stage, lol.
The crowd wont cheer for someone that looks like they dont give a fuck. I catched the ending of Hyun vs Polt yesterday and the award ceremony was so rushed and there wasnt even a crowd but Hyun made it great by being really entertaining.

Haha, same. T_T People always whine about shy people on stage, but I would be a confused wreck.

It likely will be nerfed though. Even if its just the energy requirement. Protoss already had to design every build around dealing with drops in WoL without this thing.
