But even looking at just foreigners, Ret carried the torch just as far as Mana (quarters) and Ret also made it the furthest out of any Zerg (tying with Violet in getting to the quarters). He also had a much, much harder bracket than Mana and beat harder opponents (Group B > Group C). But if it's actually just based on votes, then oh well. More people should have voted for Ret (or Mvp, or whoever... definitely not Mana) Nothing personal against Mana, but I just think popularity contest awards aren't as interesting as awards based on achievements more relevant to the tournament.

(I realize she isnt European, but I've only ever heard someone say "Mawna" a few times) Germans pronounce it that way, thats what I can tell you ;D Interesting thanks I should have added that in german the A is generally pronounced like that, like the "u" in "ugly". Thought the Umlaut Ä is pronounced like the English A, like "man".... män... ;D Sure is easy being Finnish and being able to pronounce all that stuff by default. Phonetic alphabet for the win. Also we pronounce mana as mana. No idea how to englishinize the pronunciation because there's no other sounds.

Hot dayum Yoda played well. Not really impressed by First though...

No wonder some people find Korean vs Korean boring when you have people like Yoda and First. Walking stereotypes right there.

It doesn't; I was just saying that Mana wasn't even the sickest nerdballer foreigner in the tournament (Ret), so he certainly couldn't be the sickest nerdballer overall

Because it's a foreign tournament and more foreigners are watching. Besides, how can people who show zero emotion be "sick nerd ballers"?

Yeah. Personally, I don't care which foreigner gets the award, haha, since I'm a Korean elitist, but I too thought Ret seemed to be the most obvious choice. I guess Mana did make it far, but objectively Ret had a better run, and is a member of a popular team.

I think Mana might have got some votes for winning his grudge match against Nerchio.

Depends what you clarify for the term, i would say it depends on stuff you do in game but hey, that's just me.

Because Koreans always win, people think the awkwardness is their fault, but seriously, the ceremonies themselves are badly orchestrated, and the foreigners are just as nerdy on stage, lol.
