Broodlords into ultra I can see, but going pure wol late game is irritating me to no end -_-. Broods into ultras seem like a waste of time to me against Bio. Just go Ultras. Actually it's not. terran can still get an anti ultra army even with the ultra buff, going the broodlords makes terran make a ton more marines and then vikings, then the ultra switch is super strong :D.
Good to know, I'll do that then.

They countered everything. People made 30+ of them as an army. How was it not a problem?
Freaky vs Bomber, best game ever!!!

That's honestly one of the matches I'm more excited for. There similar skill level and there's a high chance of swarm hosts.

I think Violet will show us how to handle this.

Okay let me elaborate. Blizzards argument for the new ability is that drops are figured out and are no longer viable. But they want to see drops so they buffed medivacs. Now Flash showcased that terrans can still dismantle their opponents completely with normal medivac drops if timed correctly and executed by one of the best. So if Rain had no chance defending it without speedboost imagine it in hots. That's what "everyone agreed on" but let's just wait and see and enjoy the games as they are right now. Looking forward to players adapting their drop defense as the tournament goes on. This would make sense if it was a HoTS terran was play a WoL Protoss. Protoss also got some defensive units/spells to work with.
I know right, protoss has the ability to transform any nexus they want into a planetary fortress that shoots air and has more range than a siege tank, which they can instantly recall a large chunk of their army on to if they have the energy for it (which they should). Sure drops got stronger, but don't act like drop defense didn't get stronger too..

We get two units that can't attack air, one that comes extremely late in the game, and a spell that adds a 13 range photon cannon. That's really not much extra drop defence.

Except if you knew something about PvT, you would know that having only 5 Stalkers in your main is a mistake/risk per se (because you need a sixth Stalker to kill Medivacs in 2 shots, and Rain even stopped focusing Medivacs in the Akilon Flats game once they started unloading), especially when you're still only on 3 gates to defend potential Medivac agression, and that tech-heavy build orders (i. e. what Rain played in both games) with a low unit count obviously have troubles defending multi-pronged drops.

roach allin. Dream went supergreedy and TLO went supersafe... At the time of the drops, TLO was already quite behind.

If Stephano Dream and Mvp go throught (seems in good way) it will be the more "Balance" championship ever! 4z4t4p. Good job Blizzard :D

Ultra 2 shots marines now, so that's the answer to marine tank. Then you can also add mutalisks to destroy medivacs, marauders and tanks.
Zerg compositions needs to have more variety in HOTS than in Wol. But eu zergs are too bad.

You got recall...
It is like terrans saying that early immortal busts were super strong even vs multiple bunkers. Now with MSC, it is OP and undefendable.

The difference, though, is that medivac speed requires no investment from the player while spending energy is a sacrifice.
