Parting is an awsome player really skilled, so what does that matter ? Because in the least, a boring 1a movefest ended with the better player winning, and thankfully it is showing how great all these superstars that came out of nowhere and have been brutalizing the scene for a year are. Furtheremore while zerg seems decently weak in HotS, protoss in no way seems as powerful as zerg has been. Slivko just camped against a superior player, expecting his deathball to be greater than his opponents with the end result being the superior player winning hands down, without any effort.
You are right it's forbidden for a foreign zerg to beat a korean.

It's not like you can kill your opponent by dumping mules and scans on him. seems i've been lied to explains a lot I've noticed that when you dump 10 mules on your opponent and he has no unit, it either makes him leave the game with no gg or fly his buildings for 10 minutes. I think I'm onto something.

There is no reason to believe deathballs will disappear just because they put in a few new units.
The fundamental issue creating stagnant late games lies in the economic system of SC2 that has always capped economic growth beyond 3 mining bases.
The result of this is that late game economies in SC2 are always more or less equal. The late game then becomes a question of who has the most cost efficient army (and it is this that makes the games boring).
Where in BW you would have asymmetrical economies that forced a passive player with an "imbalanced army" and fewer bases into action, in SC2 the economies just conform and become equal. None of the players has any incentive to be aggressive or to try make the game interesting. All that matters once both players are at 3 bases or above is who is best at preserving their army value.
It's a fundamental issue. Don't expect HotS to fix it. Koreans and stephano are good enough at constantly trading and delaying these stalemate situations that you don't notice them as much, but they still occur often enough.

yup Browder even acknowledged several times that the unit was hard to balance since if it was too useful it'd be totally imba, and his spells still needs to be relevant for it to be more than a detector.
