Muta HP = 120. 1 mine will 1 shot one muta but the splash is only 40. You'll need to invest in quite a few widow mines (2 supply each) to kill a huge flock.

Also, wow yoda has only been playing HotS for 1 week. Amazing.

Yoda had a great hold against Ret's baneling bust, and he expanded behind it. Because he went for a baneling bust, Ret's tech and detection was behind, and thus he couldn't deal with mines very well.

Why? Marines and thors dominate mutalisks already. All three aspects of mutalingbling get demolished by mines. Would make the old school TvZ's even better.


They can't just make mines not do damage to one specific unit. Maybe if they switch mines to ground only it would make Terran have to work a little harder against all air units since they already have marines and turrets that work very well anyways.

other mines of the same player (and maybe ally, didnt test) they definitely damage opponents mines (which is hilariously inconsistent, mine does friendly damage but doesnt affect mines - but only own mines are spared)

In the MC game we saw what mines could do to Ps mineral line without detection :D.

My guess is that blizzard gave the WM an anti-air ability because mech sucks vs air. With an aa warhound, WM's could be anti-ground only and 1 supply.

Ohhhh, you care about lore. The only air units that Terran has problems with are massive air units. The mine only helps vs oracles and mutalisks.

That's true though I guess my main problem was how much of a security blanket it was even when his proxy got scouted so early. That and I just don't like Terran very much

It really wasn't, atleast the mines werent the reason for that, it was all in the hands of ret to waste the mine before the explosion, which he did. Then later on he wasn't careful and yoda was(I presume) incredibly lucky by killing all the slings without loosing the reapers. Remember also that the reapers were pretty important in the poke outside the natural of ret.
