Reminding us of that seed guy who used to be good but now just plays hots and posts puns on twitter.
How unfortunate yet somehow expected that the guy who broke the IM Protoss curse (that they will always be hyped by Artosis and fail to deliver) succumbed to it yet again shortly thereafter.
=(
Wasn't Seed hyped by Tastless?
Yep. A year earlier >_>
guess Tasteless hype is legit but it takes a really long time and doesn't last long.
Well he also predicted Jjakji to win GSL November :D Meanwhile Yonghwa is still trying to get to Code S...

the great thing is, the Artosis curse is alive and well. On the most recent SotG he was like "I will be very very surprised if BBoongBBoong makes it out" so then I immediately bet my friend he would make it out hahaha

But it was the reasonable choice to expect. We were hoping for Puzzle to finally shed his wildcard skin and become the best Protoss in the world as Artosis foretold. If not, Oz surely would have not fucked around and just crushed Jjakji right? And if not, Leenock's performance that was solid enough to destroy an in-form Mvp would surely be enough? Right?
Don't get me wrong, the finals were awesome. But all the lucky stars had to align for Jjakji to obtain a somewhat flukish championship. Hell, I'll even go so far as to say that if not for the CoCa incident (T_T) he would never have gotten to the quarters, and we could have had a zerg champion that season, either Leenock or CoCa. ^^

Artosis and Fionn are the strongest forces in sc2.

you're blind if you can't see that Jjakji played the cleanest TvZ in that final, Coca was imba vP at that time but his other mu weren't up to par. And his thor/banshee/marine build was innovative and awesome :p

You're the blind one since you can't read what I said. The finals were awesome. Everything leading to the finals from Jjakji's part was absolutely underwhelming, unlikely and downright lucky. >_>

I don't think we're disputing Jjakji played a marvelous TvZ at one time, it's just I'm sure almost nobody thought Jjakji would make it far let alone win until he suddenly beat Leenock out of nowhere in one of the best series ever.
Coca never had a chance though. He was only really known for ZvP at the time.

Jjakji only played good TvZ at the finals because he was DRG's practice partner

Quite the opposite. Think about it. CoCa vs Puzzle. Surely CoCa would win? Then CoCa vs Oz. And the finals would be a ZvZ, where CoCa was proficient enough to beat an in-form DongRaeGu at Raleigh. ^^

you said that CoCa would have stopped him while Jjakji had the best TvZ in this GSL and CoCa was average in the match up.

DRG's ZvZ was anything but impressive in those days. I remember he struggled to beat Fruitdealer at an IEM. Leenock was probably still better. Also Coca still had Gumiho and MVP in his group. He'd likely have lost to both of them and Jjakji.

Theoretically right now (14h50 in Paris), but since 3000 people will have to enter the Palais des Congrès amphitheatre, you can add minimum 10-15 minutes to that.
