You need to watch Xigua vs Squirtle from IPL5 in Entombed Valley. That was painful to watch as a pro-balance pov.

Protoss wins pvz just as much as zerg stop complaining. If you think hero outplayed leenock and deserved the win you are way wrong. It's not because the midgame army sucks. Leenock had to sacrifice drones to fend off the push. He didn't want to take the risk, cause frankly, if you can get infestor bl for a confirmed win, why not? I love it when zergs try to perpetuate the false rumour of zerg midgame being weak. And Protoss wins just as much? You mean only the top few protosses? And only through 2 or 3 base allins? Losing automatically in the late game? Good balance.

ZvP a long time ago consisted of Protoss getting their late game armies and it was impossible for the Zerg. However, win rates were pretty similar because Zergs would stop them from getting to their late game. Now Protoss is in the Zerg's shoes, but apparently it's imbalanced when Protosses late game Deathball isn't the strongest in the game anymore. I wouldn't say it's imbalanced, it's just bad game design where different races have stronger late game armies but weaker mid games.

I hate PvZ as much as the next guy but it's also really lame to discredit one of the best players in the world because of the race he plays or the choices that P's and Z's are forced into in this matchup. Anyway, on to MVP vs. Parting...

That much investment into a unique unit undone by a massable tier 2 caster. It was great, but it wasn't perfect, after hero killed the corruptors he did a standard hero mistake ---> multitask zealot warpins all over the map but instead of zoning out the zerg army from his third, he tries to go for a base race and keeps the mothership with a small detachment in middle of the map. If he just zones out the zerg army back towards the zerg side, then Leenock is forced to do the spine crawler/spore crawler push, which is strong, but forces a longer stalemate and gives hero another chance.

He doesn't mean Zerg can't win midgame - he means that when a Protoss goes Colossus you have ONE choice for composition and that is a fact. THAT is why Zerg steers towards end game because basically every game they have to defend a huge all-in or go up against Colossi. It feels weak (lack of options).
